The class was a whole lot of cool fun. It was great being in the pool because the weather outside has been hot, hot, hot!
I wasn’t quite sure what to expect since I’ve never really done a pool workout besides swimming laps. We loaded into the pool and faced the side where the instructor stood outside of the water. Out great instructor, Edmee, demonstrated the moves and we all followed along perfectly in sync. Ok so maybe not. But we did our best! It was a lot harder than I thought!
The music was traditional Zumba music, meaning that it was all types of Latin music. The moves were based on traditional Latin-inspired Zumba dance moves but there was also a great toning aspect. In fact my legs were exhausted afterwards! The water provided a decent amount of resistance so I felt like I was really getting toned.
As part of our deal with Urban Girl Squad, our wonderful hosts of this event, we got to use Complete Body and Spa’s fantastic rooftop to mingle and relax!
Obviously some of us took advantage of this…
In addition to a fabulous class we also got some great goodies provided by Complete Body and Spa, Zumba Fitness and Honeydrop provided delicious refreshments!
