So there is no season I love more than summer and its not just because the days are warm and long and the atmosphere is chill and relaxed. My absolute most favorite part of summer is the Cape Cod beach!
See, it doesn’t even have to b that sunny for me to love it! But as much as I love lounging in a beach chair reading a good summer read, the beach offers tons of chances to get some exercise in!
On of my absolute new favorite beach exercises is Stand Up Paddle Board or SUP! It it a totally awesome workout that targets your abs but also hits your arms and legs and forces you to work on your balance. Not to mention the calorie burn!
I’ve been luck enough to get a chance to go a couple of times this year (Martha’s Vineyard & Hawaii anyone?).
If I can’t SUP, another favorite activity is kayaking. Another paddle sport, it is also great for your abs and arms and hey, jumping off and into the water to check out the local sea life is great too!
Finally, if you really want to up your calories burn and get that heart pumping, surfing is a lot of work but A LOT of fun! Just don’t forget the sunscreen!
