Ok time is running out fast to complete my 30 Under 30 list so I’m going to give you a quick update on where we stand with the LIST.
First up, Number 8-pick a charity to get involved in. Well, I really wanted to find a charity dedicated to helping kids get active and healthy. Unfortunately I couldn’t find a charity with this kind of focus that was looking for new volunteers and didn’t mind sporadic help. BUT, way back in November I blogged about volunteering with Urban Girl Squad and Achilles International to help kids with disabilities get active. It was a great experience and I really enjoyed spending time with all the kids. I think I will try to look for more one off opportunities like this.
Number 11- pick three news sites to read everyday. O.k. so this one is a little difficult because I had envisioned reading three newspapers everyday but honestly they overlap so much, what’s the point? BUT, I do visit at least three sites everyday. First of all, I get the WSJ delivered to my door in the regular old fashioned paper form. So that’s one. Second, I like to keep up with my legal news by visiting the ABA Journal online. Then finally, I like to find out what’s going on in the blog world by visiting all my favorite blogs. So two out of three “serious” sites isn’t bad. 🙂
Number 21-plan my next vacay. This one was tough. I really really really wanted to go on a bike tour through Italy but the hubs cousin is getting married in Palm Springs this year meaning the entire Aussie side of the fam will be in the U.S. so in order not to run out of leave at work, I may not be able to go 🙁 BUT, the good news is we will be heading to Palm Springs in October then to Laguna Beach and finally Yosemite. I’m super excited to go to all three places! Stay tuned to hear more and hopefully I’ll have an update on the bike trip (looks like so much fun!).
Number 22-apply to be on a reality tv show. So by “reality tv show” I really mean only one show, The Amazing Race. I am 100% convinced that Pete and I could win. Hands down, no contest. Plus you get to race around the world. So cool. BUT, the major drawback is that you have to be a U.S. citizen and unfortunately the hubs is not. Never fear, I will apply and we will go on the show. I will keep you posted on how it goes.
Well, that’s all for my updates for now. Readers, do you have any goals you are working towards? How are they going?
