Hi there! Today was a real true spring day- warm, sunny and enticing enough to make you want to play hooky from all your responsibilities! It was also a reminder of how close tank top and swimsuit season is! Not to worry, I’ve got Week 2 of my Spring Shape Up here for you. Last week we focused on strength and toning interspersed with days of cardio. This week, in order to up the burn and shed those extra calories, I’ve got an at-home cardio workout that will give you an awesome workout!
How It Works: This week the workout is based on traditional kickboxing moves and there are 5 rounds with 5 moves in each round. Do each move for 1 minute without stopping. Once you have completed all 5 moves in the round, take a quick break (grab some water) and then start the next round. The shorter your break, the more difficult the workout will be! After completing all 5 rounds you can choose to cool-down and stretch OR if you really want to burn some calories, do the entire 5 rounds again! I recommend blasting some motivational music to help you get through this workout!
Warm-Up- Start with 3-5 minutes of a warm up either jogging in place or jumping rope!
