Hey there! If you have been following me on Instagram (and if you’re not, please do!), you may have noticed a couple of things: 1.) I keep taking photos of myself doing yoga poses and 2.) I’ve been drinking some interesting tea lately. Well, first off, the yoga poses are all part of Athleta’s Seize the Solstice Instagram contest. I read about this contest on Love Life Surf (a really cool blog, check it out if you haven’t yet) and I decided that I should join in. You essentially snap a photo of yourself practicing Athleta’s yoga move of the day and tag it using the hashtag #seizethesolstice. For more information and official rules, click here. It’s actually been really fun so far!
Now, the tea. You guys may remember my post on Buti Fitness in my Best Online Classes Series. Well I mentioned in that post that there are three full length Buti Fitness videos available on YouTube. The reason why we get access to these full length videos is because Buti Fitness teamed up with Good Earth Tea to make these great videos. Well, personally I’ve never had the chance to try Good Earth Tea and the good people from the company contacted me and sent over some of their teas. I got to try out Sweetly Twister, a blakc and herbal tea made with hibiscus, lemon peel, rosehips, roasted chicory root, sweet blackberry leaves and lemon oil. It tasted like a tropical island in a cup! Perfect for an afternoon escape. I also tried out Cocoa Tango. Man, this baby had some kick! Made with cocoa and chili flavors it was like a Mexican hot chocolate but in tea form. I’ve only had these teas hot so far but I’m going to give icing them a try very soon. If you haven’t tried ’em yet, you should pick some up!
O.k. on to today’s topic! So if you are inspired by Athleta’s Instagram challenge and are looking to incorporate more yoga into your life, check out my latest and greatist routine I threw together one afternoon. I decided to practice on our roofdeck because it was so darn sunny and nice outside. What’s better than some yoga outside, 39 stories high? Nothing, that’s what. I am excited to take classes with Brittany in person this summer! I have followed Brittany online for some time. I particularly like the Barre and Pilates workout videos. Her workout techniques reflect current thinking and best practices. She supports all levels of fitness. Definitely worth a try!
Brittany is the BEST. She is inspirational, motivational and innovative. No two classes are ever the same. I'm sad when the summer classes end, but I'm looking forward to checking out her online classes this fall and winter.
