Hi there! I use this space to talk about fitness, healthy living and much more but I don’t often talk about sitting around doing nothing. I mean, who wants to read about that!? But the truth is, I do spend at least some of my time sitting around doing a whole bunch of nothing. And by nothing, I mean watching TV or movies or reading because let’s be honest, actually doing nothing is really boring.
Real Housewives. Need I say more?
Ok, so as you may or may not know, fall TV is starting up TONIGHT! Holy cow, yes! Here are a few that I’m really excited for:
(Sources- Abc.com and CBS.com)
1.) Grey’s Anatomy
2.) Scandal!
3.) Parenthood
4.) Parks and Rec
5.) The Good Wife
6.) Revenge (hoping Season 3 is as good as Season 1 and we can just not talk about Season 2)
7.) Thinking of maybe trying Betrayal?
Now, it’s YOUR Turn! What’s your favorite fall TV show? Or what are you most excited for?
Of course fall tv doesn’t include some of my favorite series! Here’s a few that I can marathon through no problem:
1.) Breaking Bad- NO spoilers! I did not see this past Sunday’s episode (not allowed to watch when Hubs is not here) but two weeks ago was EPIC!
2.) Homeland- Just downloaded Season 2 on iTunes because we don’t get Showtime. Am already half way through.
3.) Downton Abbey
4.) Mad Men
5.) The Bridge- This one is new and my mom got the Hubs and I hooked.
Your TURN again. What are your favorite TV series?
Of course the disappointing thing about TV shows is that you constantly have to wait until the next episode for a resolution…Will Olivia and Fitz ever really be together? Is Matthew Crowley still alive? Will anyone ever find Dr. Weber in the basement? Will Walt ever be caught!? These burning questions take weeks, months, even years to answer! So, sometimes it’s nice to sit down and have everything presented to you and wrapped up in one two hour time block. I’m talking movies here people! A few that I’ve seen recently:
1.) The Great Gatsby- Perfectly timed for my 20s themed party! I loved this and the soundtrack is great.
So I was going to make this whole list and then I realized that I’ve seen basically nothing in the past few months that I really enjoyed. How depressing is that? I am really excited to see some movies yet to be released On Demand:
1.) Despicable Me Too
2.) Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2- This is only just coming to theaters but I read about it over on Nellie’s blog and it sounds really good.
3.) The Butler
Hmmm, I guess Hollywood is really taking some time off this year, no?
What movies have you seen recently that you enjoyed? What are you looking forward to seeing soon?
Also, the winner of the OOFOS giveaway is ….
I am always in flip flops and wondering later in the day why my feet and back are killing me, these would be a great pair of shoes to own!

September 26, 2013The New Girl! And DA and Homeland 🙂 I’ve actually drastically cut down on my TV but my Mom keeps me up to date on all things Housewives since she’s obsessed!
FitBritt
September 26, 2013Oh Housewives is like a soap opera. You can always pick up where you left off!
Carla
September 26, 2013I don’t watch a lot of TV. We don’t even pay for cable. I do watch Bones though. I just find that between blogging and work I just don’t have time for TV.
FitBritt
September 26, 2013Agreed. I usually watch TV while I’m eating dinner since the Hubs is always away for work!

September 26, 2013As a fellow health blogger, I shouldn’t confess this, but I love my TV shows. FALL IS THE BEST :).
Revenge, Scandal, Homeland and my recently new love, The New Girl!! Seriously, I’ll watch it at home by myself and just start laugh crying its so funny.
FitBritt
September 26, 2013Maybe I should start watching that show. Everyone seems to love The New Girl!

September 26, 2013I only watch three shows religiously….Game of Thrones, The Newsroom and Big Bang Theory….all totally different. I just don’t have the time to get into more shows and I stress myself out when I don’t get to watch them.
We saw Despicable Me 2, as well. Ben LOVES animated movies…such a kid :). Star Trek was also awesome (Chris Pine, drool). Happy Fall!
FitBritt
September 26, 2013I hear you on getting stressed. I just save them all up in my DVR until I have time!
Joi @ Rx Fitness Lady
September 26, 2013Your fall list is great! Scandal, The Goodwife, Shark Tank (I know that’s real life, but I love it), Revenge, Law & Order SVU, Grey’s Anatomy, return of Covert Affairs.
Really hoping to the the Butler next week when I’m off. It just hasn’t worked out my last 2 off weeks. I’m taking my protigee to see Baggage Claim and I want to see The Family! I will give the theater a lot of money next week 🙂
Nothing wrong with doing “nothing’! I do it frequently!!!
FitBritt
September 26, 2013haha! I knew there was a reason I liked you Joi! 🙂

September 26, 2013My husband and I watch way too much TV! We love Game of Thrones, Big Bang Theory (gotta represent CalTech!), New Girl, The Mindy Project, Parks and Rec, Two Broke Girls, The Voice, and Breaking Bad. My absolute favorite TV series was Veronica Mars! I even contributed to the kickstarter for the movie! 🙂
FitBritt
September 26, 2013We watch a lot of TV too but we watch it On Demand or DVR for the most part.

September 26, 2013So many shows, so little time!!! Love New Girl, Revenge, Parenthood and can not wait for Breaking Bad!!! No spoilers but you MUST watch last week so you can see the finale! I actually bought an “I heart Pinkman” t-shirt. Yep, I did. Once it’s over I want to get into Homeland. I always hear how great it is but there’s only so many shows I can be addicted to at once!!
FitBritt
September 26, 2013OMG! I tried to reply to the email notification I got when you posted this comment! Haha! I can’t wait to watch Breaking Bad!! Hubs comes home tomorrow so hopefully soon. I saw the shirt on Instagram and it was AMAZING!

September 26, 2013congrats Morgan!!
I love Scandal and GIRL revenge season two was SO BAD. My husband and I talk about it all the time. I hope there is somewhere they can go now that Jack knows. Season 2 was just AWFUL.
My obsession for grey’s is epic. I can’t watch it live, or when anyone is around. It is my personal treat! 🙂
FitBritt
September 30, 2013Oh I love Greys. The premiere was really good. Let’s hope Revenge is better this season! I really liked season 1!
Cassandre

Nicole
September 27, 2013I also love Grey’s Anatomy and Parenthood, and also am a fan of New Girl — Zooey Deschanel is so cute! I’ve also watched Law & Order SVU for years, but have learned that if I watch it right before I go to sleep, I have crazy nightmares haha. I came back from my Euro trip and have all of these DVRed episodes I didn’t even realize were coming back on air. Sweetness!
FitBritt
September 30, 2013Everyone says they love New Girl! I think I need to check it out!
Britton
September 29, 2013I’m so excited I can barely contain myself! I am looking forward to ABC’s “Revenge” and “Scandal”. Since Betrayal comes on right after Revenge, I am going to check out the series premier tonight. It looks really interesting!
FitBritt
September 30, 2013I didn’t get a chance to watch last night but I’m going to try and catch up soon. What did you think?
