Hi friends! Hope you aren’t suffering from a sugar hangover after yesterday’s festivities! I indulged in moderation. 😉 Welcome to this week’s edition of Friday’s Food and Fitness. This week we have The Blogger Edition: Part 1! This week I am featuring recipes from various bloggers whom I’ve followed and love. Because there are so many and because when the Hubs is away for work I eat only about three meals a week (because I eat leftovers the other nights), I split this feature up into two weeks. To be clear, there is no particular order and I love all the food bloggers equally. That being said, please enjoy my selection of recipes from these wonderful women!
FOOD
Butternut Squash Gnocchi from Iowa Girl Eats
I’ve recreated her recipes before but Kristin from Iowa Girl Eats knows her stuff so I had to share another one. She does a great job embracing seasonal ingredients and this recipe was no exception. It sounds difficult but I can assure you that it’s not as hard as it may seem. I do, however, recommend this for a weekend meal as the prep takes some time (although there is a lot of hands off time). The garlic, sage and butter sauce is to die for and adds the perfect light compliment to the rich butternut squash flavor. I give this one four yums!
Chinese Chicken and Bok Choy Plus Sriracha Broccoli from Food (And Other Things)
Tara pretty much defines the word foodie. Her San Francisco based eats are amazing as are her recipes. This one was particularly delicious and I loved the spiciness of the broccoli (I admit that some Sriracha may have made it to my chicken). I can’t recommend these recipes enough!
Caprese Pasta from Foodie Loves Fitness
Nicole is awesome! She loves wine, she loves cheese, she loves fitness and she loves food. All of my favorite things. So it would make sense that she also loves the impeccable combination of tomato, basil and mozzarella. Of course, what could be better than eating this combo on pasta? Nothing, that’s what. Amazing!
And there you have it folks! A few of my favorite recipes from my favorite bloggers. Make sure you check back next Friday for Part 2. I’ve already got the recipes planned out and they are sure to blow you away! 🙂
FITNESS
On Tuesday I revealed to you my super secret Just Dance project, which was so much fun I forgot I was even working out! I have another super secret project that I will reveal to you next week, so I guess you’ll have to come back for that as well!
In the meantime, I’ll leave you with a few screen shots of the new Physique 57 Online Workout I tried this week. It’s 30 minutes of non-stop arms, legs, booty and abs. You know I love P57, so I obviously loved this workout too! It’s only $5 for a 48 hour rental.
Readers, any fun food or fitness this week? Who are some of your favorite foodie bloggers? Plans for the weekend?

November 2, 2013These are great shares! I’m doing the Michelle Bridges program but not as seriously as I should. The workout looks good but I’m not sure that I’d pay $5 for a 48 hour rental. I’d be afraid I didn’t get my money’s worth. LOL
FitBritt
November 3, 2013Agreed. I guess I pay $5 to watch movies On Demand for 24 hours so I feel like this is the same thing. But I wish I could get access for longer!
