Hey guys! Happy Friday! Are you excited for the weekend? I have some really fun things planned! Well, in the interest of getting to the weekend faster, let’s dive right into this week’s Food and Fitness!
This week started out with this awesome Thai-inspired meal.
Red thai-curry with sea bass, coconut rice and a salad made of papaya, mango, grapefruit, mint, cilantro, shallots with a lime dressing. Holy yum!
For lunch this week I made this delicious fall salad: butternut squash, pomegranate, feta and almonds. So good!
Also on the menu, black bean burgers with sweet potato fries. You guys, you have to try this. So delicious!
And because by the time Thursday rolls around I’m so ready for the weekend to begin I named it: Build Your Own Taco Night! (aka I’m too lazy to make everyone’s tacos for them).
I already told you all about this awesome Zumba master class I took this week but I also took TWO more dance classes this week! I can’t wait to tell you more about them next week. I feel like I hardly worked out at all this week because dance workouts are just so fun! Here’s a roundup of some of my favorite dance workouts, check ’em out!
All this food…yum, yum, yum! I want it all! 😉 My favorite cuisine…that’s a hard one! I guess I’d have to say Italian and Mexican. Oh how I love dance workouts! They’re just so fun and I never feel like I’m working out – I feel like I’m out a dance party!
This weekend, I’m going to Zumba tomorrow a.m., my parents’ house tomorrow p.m. and I’m not sure about Sunday yet.
Weekend plans include getting my Katniss on and trying out some compound bows lol MY boyfriend and dad really want to go to Cabellas and check them out. Since I’m the best girlfriend/daughter ever I will be joining them
ooooohhhhh new dances coming soon? Very exciting! I love make your own taco night – it’s a fav in this house AND the boys like to do it themselves. Bonus. Can’t wait to hear more about your next dance party! I think Just Dance is on the menu for me and some friends tonight:-)
I change my routine up so much sometimes I’m wondering if I get any real benefits! I am working on my food issues and today I feel pretty good about what I ate. There are chips in the kitchen and I did not have any! I’m going to brush my teeth to keep me from going in there now that it’s getting late.
I have the Zumba videos you get from training as well as the ones that come in the box set with the toning sticks. I did one today that focused on arms and abs because I had run and felt like I needed some more upper body work.
That is awesome that you didn’t eat any chips! It’s really hard for me to have stuff in the house and not eat it so I try to only buy ingredients for meals and not impulse shop. Doesn’t always work though!
Tacos are my favorite– nom nom. I want to taste those black bean burgers too, that looks so yummy! So awesome that you got to do so many dance classes this week. Sounds like my kind of week!! I am looking forward to all of your new moves!!
Excellent workout as always. It's challenging, fun and easily one of my favorite workouts!
Fantastic class! Great technique pointers. Always new exercises to challenge oneself!
I am excited to take classes with Brittany in person this summer! I have followed Brittany online for some time. I particularly like the Barre and Pilates workout videos. Her workout techniques reflect current thinking and best practices. She supports all levels of fitness. Definitely worth a try!
Brittany is the BEST. She is inspirational, motivational and innovative. No two classes are ever the same. I'm sad when the summer classes end, but I'm looking forward to checking out her online classes this fall and winter.
My wife and I decided to give Balance Barre Fitness a try and we were not disappointed. We thought the classes would be pretty easy but were surprised at how rigorous they were. The class was great for working on our coordination and core strength. I don't get to many ...
