Hello all! How is your week going? I feel like I am finally getting back on track with my first U.S. workout done and dusted since returning from my trip. It was just an hour of yoga and pilates but man it felt good! In honor of Jumpstart January, I have a new video for you today! Each week this month I will (hopefully if iMovie cooperates) be posting a new workout video! That’s right, FOUR new videos this month! Today’s video was shot on Sydney Harbour because with a view like this who wouldn’t want to jump up and down like a crazy person? This video is a short half hour video with a mix of high intensity cardio intervals and strength training. Make sure you warm up for a few minutes beforehand by either walking, jogging or jump roping to get your muscles ready (personally I walked from my house to this location for my warm up!). Also make sure you drink plenty of water and pause to take breaks if you need to. Enjoy!

Readers, how long does it take you get back into a routine after traveling? Do you enjoy quick HIIT workouts or do you prefer longer, steady state? Anyone else wish they could workout outside right now without freezing their fingers and toes off?

I usually get back to workouts pretty quickly after travel. I have my fun and then get right back on track! I love HIIT workouts because they are so schedule friendly. If I’m pinched for time and need to get a workout in I will go for HIIT. I can’t wait for it to warm up so I can workout outside! I live in Connecticut so I feel your pain about the cold 🙂
I LOVE this workout and you cannot beat the location!! HIIT training is probably my favorite to do with weights since I find strength training so be somewhat boring…which is what I know most people think of running! I don’t know how you ever left Australia with that landscape. I could run for DAYS there. Thank you for sharing it with us!
Depends how long I’m gone – I’m used to weekends away because my boyfriend is in a different city, but if we’re talking anything longer than 4 days, it’s take me a while to get back into the swing of things. I love HIIT workouts – so beneficial!
Jay is in NYC until late next week so making my favorite yoga class is difficult so this was just what I was looking for! I will try this out next week.
I”ve only done a real HIIT class with Chris Freytag at FitSocial and it was killer! I have the video but I’ve been a little intimidated. However, one of my goals this year is try a new class or video per month so….
I try to workout when I travel but if I’m bushed, I take the time I need to prevent injury (I’m a klutz).
Yayyyy love this…I’m a huge fan of HIIT. I’m too antsy to do cardio for an hour or anything like that. HIIT is perfection and I like that you can mix cardio movies with weights and all that good stuff. What a perfect place to be able to do this workout….the view is gorgeous. You’re so lucky you were able to be there!

I am excited to take classes with Brittany in person this summer! I have followed Brittany online for some time. I particularly like the Barre and Pilates workout videos. Her workout techniques reflect current thinking and best practices. She supports all levels of fitness. Definitely worth a try!
Brittany is the BEST. She is inspirational, motivational and innovative. No two classes are ever the same. I'm sad when the summer classes end, but I'm looking forward to checking out her online classes this fall and winter.
