Hi friends! I can’t believe it is already Wednesday! I love three day weekends! 🙂 Plus I have a lot of fun things planned this week! In fact, yesterday I was invited by Women’s Health Magazine to attend Clean Your Slate Event in Times Square sponsored by Women’s Health and Smart Ones.
Clean Your Slate is a food confessional campaign where you can confess your food sins and then have your slate “cleaned”. The idea is that six in ten people make resolutions and then fail to stick to them, but with Clean Your Slate you can have a second chance to achieve your goals and resolutions. As someone who thinks commitment to healthy living is really important and not being deterred by small setbacks, I loved the idea behind this campaign!
When I arrived I headed into a confessional box where I confessed my food sin on a comfy couch!
While I was confessing, a chalk artist drew my confession while I headed outside.
Then all of a sudden, my confessional was broadcast LIVE in Times Square! It was so cool to see my confessional up in Times Square! After my confession appeared on the screen, a giant eraser came and erased away my confession leaving me with words of encouragement. It doesn’t matter what happened yesterday, today is a new day and a new chance to commit to your healthy living goals! Every plate is a clean slate!
I have to say I did feel better about my confession after it was over! And of course there was some amazing nibbles from Smart Ones going around!
Plus I got this cute gift bag! All in all, not a bad way to spend a day!
Oh, and the million dollar question…what was my confession!? Well, it’s that I am a healthy living blogger and I eat chocolate every night without telling you guys! Oh well, every plate is a clean slate!
If you want to participate in the Clean Your Slate challenge, you can enter here for a chance to win!
Readers, what would you confess? Have you ever seen yourself in Times Square? Are you sticking to your resolutions?
That sounds so fun! I would have confessed that when I track in MFP sometimes I would re-write my portions to make it fit inside the guidelines. You know… that 1/2 cup wasn’t really a 1/2 cup….more like a little over 1/4c. lol
Well I don’t think chocolate is so bad 🙂 Confession…I ate those lava cakes for breakfast 3 days in a row! There’s a reason I’ve never done a WIAW but now maybe I should wipe my slate clean and share my eats with you guys!
BTW I’ve loved seeing you in my inbox this morning! So happy you linked up, even if it was a total pain in the ass!!!
I love that the slate was wiped clean – what an incredible experience to see your words in Times Square and then to get public encouragement that way!!
My confession -I drink wine pretty much every evening!!
There is no need to confess chocolate eating!! I’m sure it’s not much and probably dark chocolate too. Now, if we’re talking a bag of M&M’s well then there may be an issue 🙂
What a great idea for an event and I love that bag. Too cute!
Love the concept of this event and your confession! I’ve totally been on a chocolate kick in the past few weeks with Valentine’s Day and need to calm down my sugar intake, so I’d probably have the same confession! Hahaha
I honestly don’t have any eating sins!!!!! I eat so healthfully. I know it sounds nuts, but I haven’t had sugar in 12 years. I haven’t had dairy in 12 years. I have lots of food intolerances, so I cannot eat a lot of unhealthy foods – it’s a huge blessing in disguise!! I would give me CLEAN SLATE to someone else who really needed it!
