Barre at the Beach

Hi friends!  How was your weekend?  I hope you did something fabulous!  The weather was so nice here but I have terrible seasonal allergies and I was suffering so much this weekend.  I’m hoping it doesn’t last much longer!  Yikes.

So last September I filmed this barre video but the wind in the background was terrible.  I finally started dubbing over my videos and realized I could do that with this video but then kind of forgot about it.  Anyway, I finally committed to editing this video and got about 90% done after days and days of working on it and then . . . the file became corrupted and iMovie crashed every time I opened it.  I can’t even tell you how frustrating this was.  It takes so long to to mute and edit the clips, add music and then do the voiceover.  I was literally voicing over the stretch portion at the end of this 52 minute video when the file became corrupted.  Sigh.  I called Apple and they couldn’t do anything for me.  Double sigh.

My only option was to re-do all the work I had previously done using the raw clips.  Soooo this weekend I started going through my computer and removing some large files so I could start editing the movie for a second time when I found an exported version of my original movie.  WHHAAT!?  I tried uploading it to YouTube and guess what!?  It worked.  I honestly couldn’t believe it.  I almost jumped for joy!!

Barre at the Beach 2

So, I am extremely happy to post this Full-Length Barre at the Beach for you today!  Unfortunately at the very end during the stretch there is no voiceover because that is when the file became corrupted but about 98% of the video is good to go.

So, remember to consult a physician before starting this or any other workout and please click here for the full terms and conditions.  No equipment is needed for this workout but you might be comfortable with a yoga mat and definitely grab some water.  Enjoy!

Readers, have you ever thought you lost something and then found it?  Does anyone else suffer from terrible allergies and what do you do for them?  What’s the best thing you did over the weekend?

Oh – I can’t wait to sit and watch this whole video – glad you found it and didn’t have to spend hours on it again.
My oldest son has pretty bad allergies – thankfully it seems like the season might be ending for him.

I would give anything to go to the beach right now!

I can’t say I’m an expert at videos. I just use iMovie!

Sorry you went through so much trouble with this video but I am so glad you were able to post it! I’ve always wanted to try barre but the studios near me are so expensive! I’m definitely going to try this!

Thank God!! I can’t imagine how excited you must have been!! I’ve had my struggles with iMovie and it’s so, so frustrating when things go wrong.
I can’t wait to watch this whole thing tonight because I have a REST day and I think this will be perfect ๐Ÿ™‚
As for allergies – me and Vaughn have a very tough time. I can give him Claritin now but I hate doing it. The poor kid can barely breathe at night. I hope this passes quickly!!

Me too Allie!! I wake up at night and have a tough time breathing. I’ve had them since I was a kid!

I hope you like the video! ๐Ÿ™‚

Isn’t technology a good and bad thing? Thank goodness you were able to recover most of your video. It looks like an awesome workout Britt! I so need this in my life right now too. My legs feel chunky monkey after being injury and only doing cycle & swim for several months. I’m doing this tonight.

That has to be the most frustrating thing in the world when technology eats something. I am so glad you found it!! I am a barre instructor as well, so I loved seeing your ideas. Thanks for sharing!

Yay! I always love your barre videos! Technology is wonderful when it works, but a nightmare when it wants to be a pain! So glad you didn’t have to re-do all of your work.

Sorry about those allergies!! Thanks for the Barre video, I got a chance to skim and you look great, such a beautiful location to shoot! The best thing I did all weekend was hang out at the park with my boys.

I love it when you run across little happy things…live recovered video! Thank you for sharing this one, I believe I am subscribed to your YouTube and this one will be a good one to try given my limitations right now. So thank you!

I took allergy shots for 18 years. The allergist said that I shouldn’t take them anymore because that’s too long of a period and I should have developed some resistance by now. He’s right because I no longer have too much of a problem. I do sneeze a lot around flowers so I have to move them out of my office area and keep them out of the house. Other than that, I just dust my house a lot (can’t have the dust). ๐Ÿ™‚

18 years is a long time for shots! I guess I needed it longer because my allergies are soooo bad!

Thank you for your persistence in making sure we have another Barre video–I cannot wait to view in the entirety. The setting is so serene. By the way, I lose stuff all the time. And sometimes, I easily find stuff that has be obscured for ages!
