Recipes from My Garden

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Organic Choice for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Hi friends!  How was your weekend?  We had some fantastic weather on Cape Cod.  Although it was a little cool for the beach, we manages to get in some tennis, golf and a four mile walk along the Cape Cod Canal.  Good thing since we definitely indulged in some great eats this weekend.

Speaking of eats, remember the herb garden I planted a few months back with Miracle-Gro Organic Choice? Well, the fruits of my labor have paid off!  We have a beautiful little garden growing full of chives, oregano, sage, rosemary and basil.

I was so impressed with how easily I was able to grow my herbs with Miracle-Gro’s Organic Choice.  I don’t exactly have  a green thumb so I was thrilled to finally be able to produce something! Of course, a litle research from Miracle-Gro Learn And Grow didn’t hurt either.

I was so excited to have my own fresh, organic herbs right at my fingertips, I decided to use some of my fresh herbs this weekend to cook up some delicious meals!

I made rosemary potatoes one night to pair with a meat dish. (All recipes are at the end of the post.)

I also made this delicious rosemary tartine, which was a huge success among my taste testers!  It was the perfect mix of savory and sweet.

I then threw together this amazing pasta meal, which is perfect if you are short on time.  I used the fresh pasta from the cold foods section and made two sauces: butternut squash with sage and a marinara sauce with oregano and basil.

For some extra veggies, I grilled some zucchini and summer squash and topped with basil, oregano and lemon juice.  Simple but delicious!

Readers, do you use fresh herbs when you cook?  What did you eat this weekend?  What would you make with either sage, rosemary, basil or oregano? What would you grow with Miracle-Gro?

I feel inspired now! I have a great window like yours too. I definitely want to try to grow something this summer. I haven’t been cooking much, but maybe this will inspire me.

Wonderful! I would love to do this but I”m afraid that Jeffrey would just get into it. He likes all things green and grass like.

Your recipes look and sound delish! Especially the rosemary potatoes. Yum!
