Hi friends! How was your weekend? I spent Father’s Day with my favorite Dad, Granddad and Dad-to-be! We had lunch at one of my Dad’s favorite restaurants, The Chart Room. It’s right on the water and makes a lobster salad he loves. I had a chicken salad as I’m still a little off seafood. Sad face.
The views are pretty spectacular. There is something about watching boats that is so relaxing!
Sunday was also perfect weather for my first beach trip of the season. It could not have been a more beautiful day. I honestly don’t know why everyday can’t be like this!
Because we got some rain on Saturday, my Mom and I decided to hit up my favorite store…Target. Who needs Madison Ave when you can shop at Target? I went in for two things and came out $90 later. But I got this cute stuff!
Obsessed. ๐
And since I’m trying to tick off some of my 99 Days of Summer, my mom and I broke out the sidewalk chalk. I felt like a kid again and it was so much fun!
There is something about a big box of colors that just makes me feel happy!
We made up some fun beach house rules!
Readers, when is the last time you felt like a kid? Did you celebrate Father’s Day? Have you ever walked out of Target without spending less than $100?
Have I told you how much the love the Cape? This post makes me want to book an overnight since we’re not going for our usual week this summer (darn Spain trip!!) and no, I have never left Target without spending less then $100. In fact, right before the Spain trip, I hit an all time HIGH!
We had a GREAT Father’s Day with my dad and brother but my poor husband was sick. At least he got some peace and quiet all day…
What a fun weekend! The baby’s clothes are too cute! I haven’t bought any baby clothes yet, but we’ll know the genders in a week, so then I’ll definitely get to shopping. So exciting!
And, I have used sidewalk chalk in years! That definitely brings back a lot of childhood memories!
stoppppp Britt!!! The sidewalk chalk is TOO cute! I LOVE the cape. I used to go every summer with my parents after they dropped off my bro and sis at camp in New Hampshire (until I joined them at camp when I was 8). I’m hoping to get out to Martha’s Vineyard this summer to see my cousin and her new baby so will hopefully stop in the cape for some lobstaaaa. I’ll eat some for ya! You and your mama are both stunning. Good genes lady!
Beautiful pictures Britt! Love that you dove into the sidewalk chalk. This makes me want to run out and buy some! I hope to get back to Maine sometime so I can indulge in some fresh lobster!
Oh yes Maine is very beautiful in the summer! The chalk was so much fun! My mom and I were laughing the whole time. Sadly it rained not long later and washed it all away!
Oh – so fun that you and your mom enjoyed the sidewalk chalk together!!!
And, I’m with you – I could sit and watch the boats for hours!!!
Glad you are enjoying some nice weather!!
I love eating right on the water! It looks so pretty.
Since I’m across the country from both my father and father-in-law, I couldn’t be with them for the holiday, but I was part of giving them some pretty awesome gifts… wireless speakers for my dad’s shore house patio, and a grill for my father-in-law!
I know! I went to Ralph Lauren Baby to get the outfit in our announcement post (and also for our gender reveal to our families) and that one outfit cost almost as much as all the other Target stuff!
Some of the grandkids are old enough to sign the card for Papa so he was super happy with that. Sadly he was not up to actually going to the celebration but the kids dad had a great time and I posted a little video on FB.
Oh, I love watching the water. It’s one of the most relaxing things in the world. I thought I read something about that recently too so I’m no longer just making that up.
You are so insanely adorable, love that pic of you and your mom you look so much like her! I have SUCH an obsession with sidewalk chalk! I totally bought it for the kids and I let them mark up the sidewalk in front of our house nightly–since its been warm. They get all messy but its so much fun!! LOVE the baby clothes–I spy a lot more of those shopping trips in your future!
I love, love, love, love, love all of your pictures! I miss New England so much. I also love your yellow skirt. So pretty! You also look JUST LIKE your mom! I love all of your sidewalk chalk creations. I love all of your cute Target stuff too. So fun!!!

June 18, 2014Oh no! I’m sorry your husband wasn’t feeling well but at least he got some peace and quiet.
I love the Cape too! I look forward to spending time there every summer. Spain is not a bad consolation prize! ๐

June 16, 2014Target and CVS get me every single time. You walk in needing nothing… and walk out with everything! lol Love the baby outfits!
FitBritt
June 18, 2014Totally agree! Plus its a scam because you look at everything and say “Oh its so cheap!”

June 18, 2014Sometimes when I’m tired these days, I just want to sit and watch boats go by. It’s mindless and calming!

June 16, 2014Those outfits are adorable! Target is a dangerous place. ๐
Looks like you had a fabulous weekend with your family!
FitBritt
June 18, 2014Luckily the Target we went to is near my mom’s place and the one near me is a pain so hopefully that will put a damper on additional spending! ๐

June 18, 2014Seriously, sidewalk chalk is the best thing! It’s so much fun. I got the washable kind and it seemed to work out all right.
My mom is coming up in two weeks and I have a feeling we are going to be doing A LOT of shopping! Haha.

June 18, 2014This time of year New England is really gorgeous. I feel fortunate I can go visit my parents there!
Do you ever do sidewalk chalk with your kids. I did it last year with my younger cousins and it is what inspired me to do it again!
