The Twelve Days of Fitness: Day 3

Hi there!  It’s Day 3 of the Twelve Days of Fitness.  I hope you are having fun playing along.  Today’s fitness goal kills two birds with one stone: Wrap Presents.  Yep!  You heard me right.  Read on to find out how this seemingly mundane task will get your heart rate going.  Don’t forget to post on Instagram #12daysoffitness!

Since when did wrapping presents become a fitness activity? It is when you do it like this. For every gift you wrap, perform one of these five moves for one minute each. Once you have completed each move once (and you still have more gifts to wrap), start the list over again!

– Jumping Jacks
– Burpees
– Squats
– Pushups
– Tricep dips

Readers, have you ever combined present wrapping with sweating?  How long does it usually take you to gift wrap?

    I take forever to wrap gifts and they still come out all wonky. My husband, on the other hand, produces the most gorgeously wrapped boxes. Then I feel bad giving him a mess of tape.

    i’m NAHT a proficient wrapper, and it doesn’t even bother me. slap a lil paper and tape around it, boom. Merry Christmas. 🙂 i’m big on bags and tissue paper!

    Gift wrapping is arduous- good to remember the joy of giving and mostly the joy of the season. Never have I combined wrapping gifts with workout, however, my friend and I are shopping for wrappings today and we plan to do the jumping jacks and squats (and maybe a modified pushup) in-between.

    Ha, I’ve never thought of this game before! I am a pretty bad gift wrapper and I usually don’t have the patience to make them all neat and pretty 😉

    What a great way to get up during the wrapping process!!! I will probably wrap stuff this weekend – will have to try this for sure.
