Friday’s Food & Fitness: Down Under Wunder

Hey there! Two interesting pieces of information today both having to do with Lululemon. The first is that Chip Wilson is stepping down from the Board of Lulu (you know, the guy who blamed the see through Wunder Wnder pant debacle on women’s thighs?). Hopefully this means the brand will be able to revamp its image a bit. Stock prices went up this week so that’s a good sign!

The second thing is that apparently you can now buy secondhand Lulu (and other major brands) on a new site called Threadflip. What do you think? Would you wear workout clothes that have been previously worn by someone else? 

Welcome to this week’s Friday’s Food & Fitness!  It’s been a fun week and I have lots to share so buckle up and enjoy the ride!

  I can’t go to Australia without inhaling everything.  The Thai and Asian food here is ahhhhhhmazing.  Give me that full-fat coconut thai curry!  So bad, I know.  

But I’ve also been pleased to find some really great things recently like this amazing fresh juice sipped at a local cafe a block away from the beach (it’s a tough life, I know).


And this acai bowl.

Ohhhh and this goat cheese tart with a little salad on top (not pictured: the chocolate cookie I had for dessert).

And a nice healthy salad for lunch yesterday!  Pumpkin with feta, red pepper, tomatoes, green peas and pine nuts.






Luckily I’ve been working hard this week counterbalancing all the food I’ve been eating!  I’ve hit up Sh’bam–a really really fun and easy to follow dance class that has major calorie burn.  And I’ve chilled out with BodyBalance–a blend of tai chi, yoga, pilates and meditation.

I’ve also made it to BodyPump where I promptly realized that 1.) I can no longer lift the same heavy weights I could lift before I was pregnant and 2.) I have muscles that have not been worked in a looooooong time!  Hurts so good.


I’ve also made it a point to take a walk with the little guy every single day.  We usually do anywhere between a mile to two and half miles.  I love being able to get outside with him since it is not freezing cold!

    I am so jealous of you right now!! I miss amazing Aussie food so much. It’s hard to put your finger on what makes it Australian, but I know I can’t eat like that anywhere else in the world. Please also have a million coffees for me, thank you.

    My sister is obsessed with selling her old Lululemon clothes on the Internet, and they always get snatched up quickly! I think I’d only buy someone else’s workout clothes if they had been very seldomly used.

    Umm….yes, I do occasionally try to exercise my extra indulgences!!!

    To answer one of the first questions, NO, I wouldn’t wear workout clothes that someone else has already worn. Just can’t go there! I’m also not a big fan of Lululemon to begin with but happy to hear Chip Wilson is no longer a part of the company.
    OMG that food!!! Between reading “Little Big Lies” and seeing all the amazingness of your photos, I want to book a trip to Australia immediately!

    the salads — drool! glad you were able to get to Bodypump you will be back at your regular weight by no time. also this latest version is tough! I’m still getting used to it!!

    Wow, all of your food looks AH-mazing and so gourmet. Love it! I’ve been amazed at how weak I am since having the baby! It seems like it’s taking me FOREVER to get back to where I was pre-pregnancy, but I’ll just keep pluggin’ along, lol.
