Hi there! How are you all doing today? I can’t believe that I’m posting Mind/Body After Baby: Month 7! I feel like Cooper is growing at warp speed. He is definitely not a tiny little baby anymore!
The little guy is hilarious! He is seriously moving non-stop. While he is not officially crawling, he scoots across the floor with such speed and agility, I’m not sure he is going to bother trying to get up on his knees. He has also become very proficient at sitting on his own for an extended period of time.
He has also started to pull himself up and even enjoys standing (with some assistance).
He is so so strong and very very active. He is non-stop movement all day long! He also likes to show off his yoga abilities. Case in point: He decided to whip out a handstand the other day.
Confession: It was fun for everyone involved!
Look Ma! One hand!
He was laughing hysterically in this photo!
Aside from his physical developments, Cooper has been learning so many new things. He is really big on eating these days and absolutely crushes the Plum Organic squeezey package thingies (official marketing name). I have to say that I’ve tried all of them and they taste really good! I may or may not have bought Plum Organic Tot bars for myself. . .
He is also becoming much more coordinated and can pick up toys and play with them, flip pages in books and he has even let his artsy side out.
And one of my favorite developments this month has been his increased vocalization. He is definitely trying to talk. It is my opinion that his first word is “mama” and I am 100% sure he knows that he is calling me when he says it. He also communicates through his sounds like “ahhhhh” and “uhhhh”. It’s so funny!
I think this is my favorite month so far!
What is there to say except, look at my cute baby! Haha. Seriously though. Things are going great here. I’m not only back to my pre-pregnancy fitness level, I’m teaching! Woo hoo! A post-baby bucket list done!
I’m also just so motivated every day to get up and do things. I love being home with Cooper and I love the flexibility being home has given me to start my own business, invest in some fun blog projects, meet up with friends and just generally enjoy life!
Did I mention the little guy will grab my face and give me kisses. I swoon!
I do feel kind of bad though that my poor husband is practically working himself to death. But, on the bright side, he loves what he does and is really good at it. Plus he is an amazing father!
Learning to splash!
Checking out the animals!
Reading a book about wombats!
Wine tasting! As you do.
Also, I would like to go on the record to state that my husband definitely has more than one outfit in his wardrobe. It is just unclear to me where those other clothes may be . . .
Readers, what’s one thing you’ve checked off your bucket list recently? Are you a fan of art? How do you feel about super slobbery kisses?
Aww, this post is awesome! You look so happy and your little man is just too cute! It’s so great that you’re teaching and I wish I was closer so I could take your class. Speaking of bucket lists, I’m seeing ABT’s Swan Lake at the Met on Thursday, which has been on my list!
OMG, I love it! Cooper is adorable and looks so happy! I love the pics of him doing the handstand!!! I need to try that with my babes tonight! Ha! Glad you’re feeling well and enjoying life! Sounds like you’re in a great spot right now! 🙂
When is Cooper’s art reception for his art show? Where can I get tickets for Cirque du Cooper? How often does he dispense wisdom and philosophy from his nautical “Cooper” chair? How can I get grabbed and kissed by him?
