Fit Fashion Club

Hi all!  Ok, announcement time!  TOMORROW I’m hosting Throwback Thursday link-up.  I have been shamefully bad about reminding you each Wednesday but get your old posts out because tomorrow is the day!  It’s easy, it’s fun, I promise to give you lots of social love –so join in!

Second announcement, if you follow me on Facebook, you already know that tomorrow evening from 6pm-8pm I’ll be team teaching a Zumba class for a Zumbathon benefitting Southcoast YMCA.  If you are in the area, please come and show your support!  It’s only $10 and it’s a Luau theme!!

Now for today’s post…

Fit Fashion Club (aka Fitness Fashion)!  I’ve had more conversations than I can count on one hand with other fitness enthusiasts and bloggers about the amount of fitness wear they have in their closets.  I know I am not alone when I say that I spend more money bulking up my wardrobe to sweat in than my everyday wear.  There seems to be a bit of a trend recently with fitness fashion.  More and more brands are emerging trying to tap into this billion dollar market and being fashionably fit is downright trendy.  So I’ve decided to start focusing a little bit more on fitness fashion here on the old blog.  I think it’s fun, I think it’s inspirational (am I the only one that devours the photos in the Athleta catalogs?) and I think we can all bond over our love of spandex.

I don’t know what has taken me so long to get on board with Fabletics (affiliate link).  I heard about it for the first time probably nearly two years ago but I wasn’t buying in.  Don’t ask me why, but now that I’m on board, I think it is like the best idea ever!

I got my first outfit in May and it is so super cute!  I immediately picked out a pink top because I’m not ashamed to say that pink has been and always will be my favorite color.  The Norwalk Tank has a drawstring at the waist to allow for an adjustable hem and has a mesh back, which is not only super fly, it keeps you cool.

The built-in bra is a royal blue color that contrasts nicely with the pink and offers a fun detail on the tank.

Even if you aren’t really a fan of the pink/blue combo, no worries, the Norwalk Tank comes in approximately 8,000 different color combos–a sure crowd pleaser!

Next up were these Fiji capris.  I’m kind of obsessed with these because they are super comfortable and I love the cool detailing on the side of the capris.

I feel like printed leggings are really hot right now, as are mesh, but these are just really different and even though you are showing some skin, they don’t seem scandalous!  The capris are also low rise and made of a great spandex material that is nice and stretchy.

So if you are like me and just haven’t gotten on board yet with Fabletics, here’s how it works:

1.  Take a quick online quiz (who doesn’t enjoy that!?).

2.  Get a style profile and Fabletics will suggest looks for you.

3.  Choose between a regular membership (free) or a VIP membership. Your first look is $25–that’s right, a complete look for $25!!!!

I too devour the Athleta catalog!! And I too am a VIP member of Fabletics but, I’m sorry to say that I’m kind of disappointed. I received capris with a hole in the knee – which I didn’t notice until I was running in them at the track – and I have sent back two other items because they looked or felt different from what I thought they would be. I continue to be a member since I do have some GREAT pieces (and I love your leggings BTW!) but I would like to see them up their game a little!!

I totally drool over the Athleta catalog too! I LOVE those capris, so cute!

I have your pink shirt in a light blue! So funny, I’m planning on doing a post about Fabletics soon too. Overall I love them, and especially like how the line is affordable since I can easily spend $500 on 2 outfits at a lot of the fitness fashion places like Lulu, Athleta & Lorna Jane!

I LOVE Fabletics! Great quality and great prices. Who am I kidding though, I love all workout clothes.

Love the capris! I spent a fortune in fitness clothes when I was in NYC, so I’m way over budget. I actually need to buy more everyday wear. Your comment about spending more on fitness gear than “normal” clothes is so accurate haha.

Nylon with Lycra or Spandex is a wonderful combination of fabrics for workout clothing and swimwear. Poly with Spandex is here to stay but it’s not my favorite.
    Love your Fabletics top!!!

Girl you know I LOVE my fitness fashion. I am just obsessed. I love Athleta too! Fabletics is great! I got a few outfit from them and it was pretty good quality!
