Hi all! Welcome to the almost weekend, which means one thing: Throwback Thursday!! This one is interesting because now that I am a SAHM, I am really beginning to live my passion by being able to teach, start my own business and spend more time writing on the blog. It’s kind of cool! So I hope you enjoy this throwback as much as I do!
I’ve written before about how I use this blog to maintain balance in my life. But another reason I love having this outlet is that it allows me to write about my passions, namely fitness and a healthy lifestyle. Have you heard the saying, “Do you live to work or do you work to live?” Well, I can’t say that I’m that passionate about being a lawyer. Some people are natural born litigators-they love the rush of a good oral argument or a court case won. I, on the other hand, prefer the quiet intellectual challenge-sitting in my office researching an issue or drafting something. I feel in my element, not in the courtroom, but on a spin bike or at the yoga mat. So, yeah, I guess I work to live.
BUT, I have found a new way to express my passion here in my little corner of the world at MyOwnBalance. I love sharing with you the things that make me excited, a really fun and challenging new class, a cool DVD or the great time the hubs and I have pursuing some adventure! I may have to spend lots of hours behind a desk to pay for the classes and DVDs but it makes it worth it when I can come home and share it with all of you!
But enough about me. So readers, tell me, what’s your passion? Has your passion evolved over time?
Like you, mine is writing. I love working and assisting other people, especially young adults with their writing (I specialize in applications assistance for higher education and scholarship programs) but ultimately, I like the creativity and fun that comes with being able to write whatever I want, about whatever I want. I am working on multiple book drafts right now, but I don’t think anything will come to fruition until my baby is a little older and I have more time 🙂
my passion has always been, and always will be, writing. (specifically creative writing, but i love having my blog as well.) along with that, it’s people. i love meeting people and investing in people and hearing their stories and just enjoying doing life with them.
This is so encouraging!! Seriously, you are such an inspiration to me! …my passion is DEFINITELY health and nutrition! I just love eating well and the balanced approach when it comes to living a healthy, happy life! Thanks for sharing 🙂
I’ve found my passion in blogging about health and fitness too! I love it so much! I don’t have the time right now to make it a very lucrative business, but I don’t care because I LOVE what I do! I love your blog and learning from you too!!! I think it’s very cool you’re an attorney as well. 😉
