Hi friends! Although I’ve been blogging since 2012 and have posted thousands of posts with tons of information and thoughts, my most popular posts by far are a collection of posts I put together in early 2013 when I decided to make one random week Barre Week. I dedicated an entire week to one of my favorite forms of exercise. While I still love these posts, I decided they needed a major update. So many new classes and products have hit the market and I want to keep this information as up-to-date as possible. So without further adieu, welcome to Barre Week 2015!
I’m kicking off the week with the Best Barre Resources! These resources will help you if you are new to this form of exercise, want to know more about this kind of exercise or maybe you are pregnant and are looking for a great workout. Check out these resources for all your barre-related questions!
What is Barre?– Heard of this workout format but have no clue what it is all about? Check out my guide explaining all about the barre workout concept. Also, it is pronounced like bar not bar-ray. I have a friend who thought the latter. It’s the French spelling!
Barre Classes for Beginners– Now that you understand what barre is, check out my tips for beginners! It’s intimidating to go to a class for the first time without knowing what to expect. These tips will help you feel comfortable in your first class!
Learn the Moves– Check out some of the basic barre moves you might see in a typical class. These moves are based on traditional barre class choreography, You’ll be a pro in no time!
Barre for Pregnancy– Barre classes were my go-to workout during pregnancy. They offered the perfect balance between cardio and strength training and helped keep me fit through those nine long months. Plus, the class offered a ton of pregnancy specific benefits!
