Delicious Homemade Granola

This easy to make homemade granola recipe will make you look forward to breakfast every morning. the ingredients are simple and you will know exactly what is in your morning bowl.

Good morning and happy Monday!  Did you have an exciting weekend?  Ours was super low key but I finally watched Schindler’s List for the first time.  Yes, I know I must be an alien to have never seen it but seriously, I think it came out when I was about 10.  I finally got around to watching it and was impressed by the entire thing.  Also, does anyone else think that Liam Nesson and Ralph Fiennes kind of look alike?  I was confused at first when Ralph Fiennes’ character first entered the picture.

Over the weekend I whipped up this insanely delicious granola recipe.  I’m no Betty Crocker but I have to say that this is one of the best things I’ve ever baked (it went in the oven herego I consider it baking).  Even for non-bakers like me, this recipe is simple and easy to follow so there is no way you will get confused.  Also, the ingredients are pretty easy and don’t require a trip to any speciality store.  Win!

I love the idea of making homemade granola because I find the granola’s at the grocery store to be generally filled with crap and also not that tasty.  For me, adding a little bit of spice is what makes this recipe truly unique and homemade tasting.  Your home will also smell fantastic while you are making this and your significant other will think you are whipping up something way more fancy than you actually are, which may end up being disappointing but so it goes.

I added in some various dried fruits at the end to give it a little punch.  You can skip this step altogether or you can choose to add in different fruits, whatever tickles your fancy.  I used gluten free rolled oats because that is what I found at the grocery store but feel free to substitute in whatever type of rolled oats you like.  And finally, I suggest serving it with some almond milk in a bowl and just enjoying with a cup of coffee but it would also taste great with some greek yogurt.

Readers, are you a fan of granola?  Would you consider yourself a chef, a baker or neither?  Name a classic movie you’ve never seen.
