Friday’s Food & Fitness: Zumba Video + Lamb Wraps

Hello all!  It’s Friday!  It’s nearly the weekend and I’m excited about that.  We are heading to the beach for a baptism, which should be fun.  I’m just praying there is not a lot of traffic because the highway turns into one lane and there are these speed cameras that make you go ridiculously slow.  Last time we came home it took us 6 hours and it is supposed to be about 2 1/2!
Anywho, welcome to Friday’s Food & Fitness!  I’ve got a great recipe for you plus a little fun fitness update!






This week was filled with a lot of ordinary eats but, I’m excited to say, I did make these amazing lamb wraps that tasted delicious.  Lamb is pretty difficult to get in Brazil so it wasn’t easy to make this recipe but once I found some meat, I was able to throw everything else together pretty quickly.

couscous salad

The couscous salad makes a terrific lunch salad if you have leftovers!

mint yogurt

The mint yogurt is great with lamb but would also pair well with chicken!





Hey you guys remember when I went to the Zumba Convention in Sao Paulo?  Well, I’m excited to say that the video that we filmed that day is out now and I’m in it!  Check it out!

Good memories!  That was such a fun day and the video was pretty fun too!  ZIN members, definitely check it out.  It was cool to see how the behind the scenes of these videos work and the energy in class was so amazing.

    It looks like a fun convention with the great and famous Beto! Was he personable? OH, you did not understand what he was saying & you were certainly DANCING !! I have never, ever been to a behind-the-scenes event! Bet it was exciting and amusing. The best thing I ate this week was fresh grilled haddock–caught right off the Atlantic coastline! I did not catch it–just bought it from the fish market in New Bedford and put it on the grill at home. So good.

    The recipe looks scrumptious. I will have to give it a try. I have never been to a “behind the scenes event”. I used to work for a radio station where I was constantly planning events/appearances. That is event looks like a fun one to plan and be apart of. Today, my daughter has two recitals… One for gymnastics and piano. Then, we will be finishing our Christmas shopping. We get to host this year so I need to figure out the meal. I enjoyed your post. Have a great weekend!
