Cooper 16 Months

I haven’t done Cooper update since he turned a year. After one year the monthly updates become a bit much, but he has developed so much lately, I feel we are overdue!

So, what’s been happening?  Well, first of all the little guy learned to walk in January and life is hectic!  It wasn’t that all of a sudden he just got up and walked but rather slowly over time he started taking a few steps here and there and then, he was just walking. And now running. Everywhere. And vehemently pulls his hand away if I try to hold it. Oy vey.

We are also talking a lot!  For a long time he only said “mama” “dada” and “bye, bye” (his favorite). Now, however, we’ve added in a whole new repertoire of “night, night” “Apple” and a sound version of “all gone/all done”.  But even if he isn’t speaking tons of words, he clearly understands what I’m saying. When I say “where is your wagon”, he leaves the room and goes to get it and brings it back.  When I say “where is your head?”, he puts his hands on his head! And the other day when I could not find where he put my phone, he pointed to it!

Speaking of phones… Favorite toy ever!  He is always “talking” on the phone.  He is good friends with Siri and they regularly converse, although the conversation mostly consists of her saying “sorry, I didn’t get that.” Haha.  He is also a wizard at the iPhone and will hand it to you so you can unlock it. Everything is touch screen with a swipe!

He has also become an excellent little mimic with some of his favorite moves being: crossing his arms, winking (yes, that’s right! I’ve got a little ladies man on my hands), sighing, and pointing with one finger. I guess I must do that a lot when I say “no!”  He had also learned to blow a kiss (my favorite).

I feel like all of a sudden he has a Personality with a capital P.  He has started doing this hilarious dance where he shrugs his shoulders when he hears music. It is beyond adorable! He also laughs hysterically at things especially other kids and videos of himself! Oh and he is a big fan of coming to give mummy a hug and saying “mama”. Ok that is actually my favorite.

Oh my what a cutie! The fun has only begun. It gets better with each day.
My son went from the bum shuffle to walking at 13 months and I had just gone back to work. Talk about crazy, but man he is so much fun. I am learning to embrace each day as it comes. He’s now 2.5 and talks up a storm. It melts my heart the most, when he looks at me with his big eyes and says I love U mommy.
Congrats Cooper on your Milestones. Your doing so well =0)

Haha. It is really funny. Plus he looks totally serious when he is doing it. I’ll see if I can make him do it!

OMG ADORABLE!! Those outfits!!! If I have a son, when I eventually have kids, and I hope I do have a boy, he is going to wear the cutest clothes… Golf clothes. His dad will want him to be a golfer LOL!

I love that age so much!! It’s crazy when you kind of take a step back and realize they have progressed an enormous amount without you really realizing. We’re in the stage with Baby T where we don’t really believe he will be talking one day…even though I know it’s soon, it seems so far away!!
