What’s Your Fitness Personality?

Hi!  Happy Monday!  Do you have a case of the Monday blues?  Well, this fun little post should cheer you up a bit!  I recently read an article in Well and Good about different fitness personalities and I thought it would be fun to put together something similar here on the blog.  I know I identify with a lot of them and some of them not at all.  Which one are you?

Barre Babe

Barre, ballet and any low-impact toning are the name of your game.  Regular words in your vocabulary include: tuck, pulse and lifted heels.  You embrace the super girly including a nice cold glass of rose bubbly with a view.  Sparkles are never a deal breaker and diamonds really are your best friend.

Loves: Lululemon, brunch, diamonds, grip socks, the finer things

If there is a new class on the block, you’ve been there and done that by the time everyone has heard of it.  You can’t commit to one workout (or one guy) but opt to play the field.  You love new experiences and embrace them whole heartedly.  You take what’s on trend to the next level with your clothes, hair, shoes and workout all on fleek.

Loves: Braids, leggings with mesh or moto designs, cutout tanks, the next big thing

Cardio Dance Diva

Not only are you a dance diva, you are a front row diva.  Put on some music and you are there–in the front grooving.  You think cardio machines are a waste of time and would rather bop it out to the latest top 40, electronic, latin or hip-hop tracks.  You are always listening to music to see what will inspire you next.

Loves: dancing, music, Zumba, AKT & BBS Online, feel-good mantras

Vinyasa Vixen

Yoga and meditation are your mainstays.  You travel with your yoga mat at all times and love everything from a sweaty vinyasa class to a restorative and meditative session.  Living an eco-friendly life is important to you.  

Loves: mind-body connection, farmer’s markets, meditation apps, jewelry with mantras

Crazy Competitive

Unless it is a competition, you are not interested.  Everything is about competing whether its for the leaderboard in spin class or your latest race.  You’ll try anything as long as there is a clear winner. 

Loves: interactive fitness apps that allow you to compete with your friends, Flywheel, Peloton, racing, all sports

Sweaty Betty

It isn’t a workout unless you are sweating.  You thrive on a good, sweaty workout and you’ll do anything to push it to the max.  HIIT workouts, CrossFit, bootcamp all have your name on it.  Your all about getting it done–whether its at the gym or in real life.  You tackle your career just like a sweaty workout.

Loves: HIIT, your heart rate monitor, a great waterbottle for rehydrating, sports bras and tough looking leggings

Rocking Runner

Running is the only workout that counts.  Although you’ll hit the treadmill if you need to, you’d rather be outside–pavement or path, it doesn’t matter.  You can’t understand people who don’t run because running for you is not just exercise, it’s your therapy.

Loves: running paths, hotels that provide you with a running map, great socks, your Garmin

Pilates Princess

Pilates has been around for years and you are here to show why it works.  You’ve got a core stronger than superman but you look like a prima ballerina.  Slow and steady is the name of your race and you are the clear winner.  You like your life to be as organized as a well-planned pilates class.  

Loves: the reformer, megaformer classes, Kate Spade, ToeSox, your day planner, stripes, polka dots and quirky bows

Sassy Swimmer

If it’s in the water, you’ll be there.  Swimming laps at the pool, stand-up paddleboarding, kayaking, SUP yoga, snorkeling–your main piece of equipment is the water.  Regular swimsuits don’t work for you.  You need something functional.  You love to travel as long as it is to a warm climate and you spend your free time looking for the best beaches.

Loves: warm weather, the water, rashguards, Havaianas, SPF

    Can I be all of them? Lol, such cute clothes! I’d say I’m a barre or Pilates person though if I had to pick!

    What a fun post!
    Depending upon when and where, I am a:
    Barre Babe with my workout buddy.
    Pilates Princess for my career transition and barely, gainful employ.
    Sassy Swimmer because I love SUP, kayaking and my beach.

    P.S. I want that rash guard.
