A Day in the Life

Hello and happy Wednesday!  If you follow me on Instagram, you know that I was traveling over the weekend and quite frankly, I’m still recovering!  Who knew that traveling just 2.5 hours away by plane could be so exhausting (every single parent just raised their hand-haha).

But traveling is out of the ordinary for most people so it can be super exhausting to change up your routine.  speaking of routines, I thought it would be fun today to do a “day in the life” post.  I haven’t done one of these in a long time and if you are a nosy reader like me, you love getting a peak into other people’s lives!

This is a typical Tuesday!

7:45 am-  I hear sounds from around the house and get out of bed.  The Hubs is getting ready for work and the baby is talking to himself in his crib.

8-8:15am- Head in for a quick shower to get ready for the day.  I need to get in and out before the baby starts to lose it and wants out of that crib.

8:15am- Go in to say hello to the little man.  He is awake and standing up in his crib.  He’s starting at me intently as I go into his room.  I change his diaper and then plop him on the floor where he promptly runs off.

8:30-9:30am-  We have breakfast which consists of toast and coffee for me and baby cereal with bits of toast for him.  The Hubs eats a leftover veggie burrito I made last night and I’m kind of jealous he got the last one. 😉  The Hubs leaves for work and we finish getting ready to go out.

9:30- We are in the car and we are on time!  Small miracle.  We head out to drive to our My Gym class for the day.  We just started this class recently but I think it’s great for Coops.  It involves a ton of running around, jumping into ball pits and generally moving.  He’s so active these days that this is the perfect way to get his energy out.  Although he is still a bit shy with the instructors and doesn’t love the follow-the-leader stuff.  He rather just free play.

11am-  My Gym is finished for the day.  We had a ball jumping in the ball pit and throwing the balls out at mummy, playing with hula hoops, jumping on the trampoline and hanging from the monkey bars.  I’m tired but I’m not sure Cooper is!!

11:30am- We arrive home.  I drop Cooper off with the babysitter today because I have a lunch date with a group of English-speaking friends.  We meet up once a month for lunch to just eat and chat.  I head out to get there by 12ish.

12pm- Arrive at lunch (on time for once!) and am excited to see some of my friends.  Since we had a long weekend, I like catching up with everyone and finding out what they’ve been doing.  A few of my friends brought their (younger and less mobile) babies.

2pm- After lunch I head out for a walk around the plaza with some friends so kill some time before I need to head out.  We walk and chat enjoying the nice but slightly cooler weather.

2:30pm- I pick up my car and head out to my pilates class.  I make a wrong turn on the way because I totally wasn’t paying attention to the GPS but still manage to make it to class with enough time to spare.

3-4pm  Pilates class!  Today we are working on the chair–one of my favorites.  We do a ton of new moves, which I love.  I’m really enjoying how much I’m improving in strength and flexibility plus the postures look pretty.

4pm- I head home to see Coops and do a bit of work on my computer for a few hours.

6pm- Playtime with Cooper!

7pm- Teach barre.  The great thing about my online studio is that I don’t need anything but my own space at home to teach!

8pm-  It’s dinner time and I’m starved!  On the menu: steak, rice, cauliflower and salad.  Yum!  After dinner we watch some tv including Brooklyn Nine-Nine.  At first I thought this show was kind of stupid but now I find it hilarious!

10pm- I’m falling asleep on the couch so its lights out and another day is done!

Readers, what does a typical Tuesday look like for you?

Sounds like a good day to me! I obviously had to stalk your Instagram after reading your first paragraph haha Argentina looks awesome! I definitely know what you mean – It always takes me a few days to recover after travel. After being in Vegas all week for work last week, I was exhausted all weekend!

Well thanks for asking. My Tuesdays are my catch up day and here is one example: appointments, work on my consulting job, read professional journals, eat salad for lunch, pick up my mess, do laundry, wash my car, thin out my hydrangeas, surf the web to stay current with fashion, and do the best Barre class that I know online with Brittany!
