Hello! The happiest of Friday’s to you! I hope you had a great weekend and are prepared for an even greater weekend. We are looking at some sunny and warm days so I’m not complaining!
Welcome to Friday’s Food & Fitness. Let’s jump right in! (Sorry pun totally intended).
Oh this salad! It is so simple and so delicious. Plus it melds summer flavors together perfectly without being heavy or overwhelming. It is fresh and light and a great meal for lunch.
To make it, all you need is some romaine lettuce (baby spinach would also work well for an extra power punch), fresh raspberries, an aged cheese like cheddar or gouda, raw walnuts, a ripe plum and fresh mint. Combine the salad ingredients together and then whip up a simple dressing of olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt and pepper and voila!
So I’m now obsessed with a mini trampoline workout. I started using the mini tramp at my parents’ house and became hooked. It’s been a long time since I used one of these babies for a workout and I don’t know why I haven’t come back sooner! First of all, it is an incredible low-impact cardio workout that is easy on your joints while still great for getting your heart rate up. Seconds of all, it is a ton of fun!
I’ve definitely done classes before that have a lot of athletic mini trampoline moves but I’m going for a more dance vibe. It’s so fun to dance on the mini trampoline! Plus, it is also great for toning moves. I found a few videos online and I also made my own, which you can checkout on my online site. It is 60 minutes of dance cardio on the mini tramp but the choreography is not difficult at all, it is repetitive and includes a variety of toning moves as well!
