Vacation Rewind Photo Dump

Hello hello!  I hope you had a great weekend.  We had some fantastic weather and I was soaking up every minute of it.  I got back into playing some tennis after a bit of a break and was happy to see that I hadn’t totally lost all of my skills although I definitely feel like I need to practice a bit.  What did you get up to?

I was scrolling through the thousands of iPhone photos I have recently and noticed there are a bunch from the last few weeks that I haven’t shared here on the blog or on social media.  I thought it would be fun to do a little vacation rewind photo dump.  So rewinding a bit…our Cape Cod vacation:

IMG_1266 Nothing says summer nights like a vibrant table topped with amazing grilled food, rose champagne and the people you love!  Am I right?

This was one of the most perfect beach days.  It was completely still with only the hint of a breeze, a beautiful blue sky with just the right amount of clouds and water so calm it looked like glass.  If this doesn’t sat calm to you, what will?

We were inspired by the Athleta catalog for this one (seriously, their photos are always so amazing!).  Partner yoga!

I’ve been to a lot of beaches around the world but nothing beats the vibrant blues and greens of Cape Cod in the summer.  This was at Nauset Light Beach in Eastham.  It is one of my favorite beaches.  There are always seal sightings there!

Don’t forget your beach umbrella!

Dinner on the beach.  This gets me through the winter!

We took Cooper for his first ever boat ride.  He was lukewarm at first but then he saw all the boats and I think he had a lot of fun!  I was just thankful we didn’t have a tantrum over the life jacket.

Boats are one of our favorite things around here these days.  I’m working on a “things that go” theme for his bday party later this year.

Nauset Light.  A quintessential New England look.

Copacabana Beach in Rio!  Welcome to the Olympics!

I think the little guy wants to go outside!

This sunset!  Another day ending at the Olympics.

We went to our gym class recently and Cooper was really getting the whole drum idea.  Proud mama right here.

Cooper is obsessed all of a sudden with trains.  He keeps saying “choo choo!” whenever he sees a train, which is so cute.  He loves his Thomas set!

This is a photo from the weekend.  The water, the sun, the boats…it just screams tranquility.  Now all I need is a friend who owns one of those boats!

Readers, what have you been up to lately?  If you had to pick three photos to describe your last month what would they be?

Thanks Shawna! We were super excited to nail the pose. I was worried I was going to kick my mom in the face!!

Great photos! I love the partner yoga pic! And Cooper is such a cutie. Lucky that he didn’t mind the life vest! When I was just visiting family on the east coast, we were trying to get one of my nephews to be okay with wearing a life vest. Every time they try to take him out on the boat, he totally freaks out when they put it on! Ha.

Oh my gosh. I totally thought that was going to happen to us because he hates swimmies, hats, sunglasses…anything besides clothes (and those are debatable) but he was completely fine with it. Whew!

Your photos are amazing-like the Athleta inspired pose- and an interesting chronical of your last couple of months. Cooper could not be more endearing. Lately, I have been revitalizing my garden and right back atcha on the CC beach:

The weather has been fantastic. I can actually swim in the calm ocean waters. Hope it is not the “calm before the storm!”
