Hello and happy Friday! I can’t believe it but I’m sick AGAIN! Please, someone help me! For that reason, we are leaving out the food this week and focusing only on the fitness!
All complaining aside, welcome to Friday’s Fitness!
We’re moving right along with our Focus On Series to Bump at the Barre™! This is one of my favorites. Well, I say that about all Balance Barre classes but read on to find out why I love this one!
What is Bump at the Barre™?
Bump at the Barre is a low-impact workout that will strengthen your pelvic floor, your baby-carrying obliques, your legs and glutes and your arms for carrying that bundle of joy. This workout is full of modifications specifically designed for pregnant ladies.
How is Bump at the Barre™ different from Signature Barre Class?
This class moves at a slightly slower pace to keep the mama’s rate of perceived exertion in a moderate range but still uses a lot of the moves found in a Balance Barre Signature class. This class also uses props to help make the mama more comfortable and avoid contraindicated positions and exercises.
How often can a mother-to-be take this class?
As with any workout when you are pregnant, it is important to first check with your physician. However, if you are in good health, you can safely take this class 4x per week.
It’s clear that you have studied your craft well & know how to address the fitness needs of a Mommy-to-be! I bet the young moms enjoy Bump at the Barre!
