Hello! I’m so excited for today’s recipe! I know Energy Balls are not a new concept but this recipe is a real winner for me because most energy ball have protein powder in them and these don’t. So what’s the big deal? Well, there is absolutely nothing wrong with protein powder! I’ve used it before myself. However, for me, I prefer to get my protein from my food intake without a supplement because I don’t really think I need additional protein to what I’m already consuming. High protein diets definitely have advantages and consuming more protein will help you feel full, but for my own personal reasons, I don’t want to add in protein powder at this time. If you do want to add in protein powder? Totally fine! Go for it!
These Energy Balls were a big hit…well with the Hubs. Cooper took one look at them and screamed no. To be fair, he takes a look at virtually anything these days and screams no!
They are super simple to make and the best part is that is requires no baking. Just mix, roll and enjoy!
You will need:
1 cup of dates, chopped
1 cup of raw, unsalted cashews, chopped
1/4 cup of chia seeds
1/4 cup of flaxseed, ground
1/2 cup of oatmeal
1/4 tsp of salt
1/2 cup of shredded unsweetened coconut (I also like to add in a bit of coconut butter)
1/4 cup of plain Greek yogurt
Just combine the ingredients into a food processor and blend until you reach a doughy consistency with a few crunchy pieces. Form balls with the palms of your hands. Store in the refrigerator!
I love making energy bites at the beginning of the week to have around as a healthy on-the-go snack all week long. My hubby loves em too! Sometimes I use protein powder, sometimes I don’t – but they usually have some kind of dried fruit like dates + some kind of nut or nut butter. So easy, healthy & yummy!
Excellent workout as always. It's challenging, fun and easily one of my favorite workouts!
Fantastic class! Great technique pointers. Always new exercises to challenge oneself!
I am excited to take classes with Brittany in person this summer! I have followed Brittany online for some time. I particularly like the Barre and Pilates workout videos. Her workout techniques reflect current thinking and best practices. She supports all levels of fitness. Definitely worth a try!
Brittany is the BEST. She is inspirational, motivational and innovative. No two classes are ever the same. I'm sad when the summer classes end, but I'm looking forward to checking out her online classes this fall and winter.
My wife and I decided to give Balance Barre Fitness a try and we were not disappointed. We thought the classes would be pretty easy but were surprised at how rigorous they were. The class was great for working on our coordination and core strength. I don't get to many ...
