BarBall Tone is a full-length barre workout using a playground ball for the entire class. The ball will add extra resistance, increase instability to challenge the muscles and help target specific muscle groups on a deeper level.

BarBall Tone uses one of my favorite pieces of equipment. A playground ball! We use the ball for the entire class to help add extra resistance, increase instability and target specific muscle groups. You’ll be surprised by just how much deeper you will feel your muscles by adding in such a simple piece of equipment.

You can also use something squishy such as a couch pillow or other small pillow or a stuffed animal in place of a playground ball.
You will also need a light set of weights for this workout (I used two pounds), something sturdy to hold onto to act as your ballet barre and a mat.
This class starts with a low-impact cardio warm-up using the playground ball to help increase your heart rate, boost your metabolism and begin burning calories. We then move to the upper body using our weights and the ball for an amazing toning section. We then head to the barre without our weights but keeping our ball to focus on the the legs, specifically the thighs, glutes and hamstrings. Finally we head to the mat with our ball for intense core work!
