Barre Bounce 2 is the latest video on BBF Streaming! Get your cardio barre fix with this awesome trampoline barre class!
I’ll admit it. I’m obsessed with my mini trampoline. It is just so much fun! I love bouncing on it. It doesn’t even feel like I’m going cardio when I put some music on and start bouncing. So naturally I decided to put two of my loves together because one is better than two right!? Barre Bounce was born!
If you’ve followed me for awhile then you are familiar with Barre Bounce Original. Barre Bounce 2 builds on the original and uses a longer cardio segment at the beginning before moving to toning barre workout towards the end. You said you wanted cardio, you got cardio!
We start off with a warm-up on the mini tramp. You’ll recognize some classic barre warm up moves like knee lifts before we start adding some jumping in. Make sure your ankles are nice and warm when you begin!
We then grab our 2lb weights for some upper body and cardio combined work. We do some classic upper body moves like bicep curls combined with tramp cardio like jumping jacks. We keep it moving the whole time! You’ll not only feel the burn in your arms but you’ll also get a strong blast of cardio from jumping while holding the weights.
We then take the cardio down a notch and focus just on the upper body with targeted upper body toning and no jumping to burn out those arms. You’ll be crying mercy by the end but it’s not over until we hit the floor from some planks, pushups and tricep dips using the elevation of the mini tramp for greater range of motion.
We then head back to the mini trampoline without our weights for our cardio section. We start by using the mini trampoline like an old school step. We do moves that are one foot on the floor and one foot on the step. Think of repeater knees and side leg lifts. We blast it out with some over the tops that take me back to my step aerobic teaching days!
We hop back on the trampoline for the remainder of our cardio section. Think simple moves based on ballet and dance cardio. It is non-stop the entire time so make sure you have some water on hand and stay hydrated.
Finally, we finish up our cardio but we don’t step off the trampoline quite yet. We do some lower body toning on the mini trampoline because it provides an unstable surface and challenges our balance as well as our lower body. Pull the core in for this section to help you balance! (You can always do this section on the floor if you are really struggling for balance).
Our legs feel a bit like jelly but we aren’t done yet. We now head to the floor for our barre section. We turn the trampoline on its side to act as a ballet barre (it’s not a stable barre so you really have to engage your core and rely on your own body weight to help you balance as you move). You will see traditional barre moves like narrow V pulses, second plies, curtsy lunges, foldover work and more.
Just when you think you can’t do another rep, we hit the mat. Well not the mat so much as the mini trampoline. We lie down on the trampoline for some barre and pilates inspired core work.
When we’ve worked every inch of your body, we finally take a few minutes to stretch it out and enjoy the release.
I have such an awesome and motivating playlist for this class! I hope you love it. Check it out below!
