Although I mostly focus on workouts here on BBF. I feel like there is so much more I could be sharing with you. Fitness is really only one piece of the puzzle. There are still 23 other hours in the day!
So I’m beginning a new monthly series of my favorite things. This gives you a peek into my life and let’s you in on what a barre and Pilates instructor really does in her spare time!
I hope you enjoy and maybe give a few of these a try.
From time to time this series will contain affiliate links, which means that if you choose to make a purchase from some of the links, I may receive a small commission. As always, thank you for your support!
I made this playlist that I’ve been listening to over and over. It’s basically a compilation of my favorite songs from all my 2018 playlists. It is so motivating for me! You know when you are listening to music or are working out and you think “I love this song!” “I love this song too!” It just makes you work harder and feel happier!
I’ve been reading so much lately! It helps me fall asleep at night. I’ve read a bunch of good books but a few that stand out are Nine Perfect Strangers by Lianne Morarity (I love all her books), The Dinner List by Rebecca Serle and Summer Wives by Beatriz Williams.
I went a little nuts at the Lilly Pulitzer sale last fall. I’ve got quite the collection going on. But the colors make me feel instantly happier!
I’m rocking them both in my workouts and IRL.
Tennis! Now that baby number two is out, I’ve recommitted to my tennis lessons and I’m loving it.
I forgot how much I enjoyed playing and it’s a nice change of pace for me. Plus, I love any workout with a skirt.
I’ve been working hard to really at eating clean. My mom got me this cookbook by Dawna Stone and I really love it! Making my way through the recipes!
The other thing I’ve been working hard at is spending enriching time with each boy. It’s not easy! But I feel it’s doable when I have a plan. I’ve been relying on two subscription boxes to help me.
For Pre-k Cooper I’ve been enjoying The Preschool Box. The crafts and games are all meant to help your preschooler learn important skills like the alphabet (reciting, recognizing and writing), counting and writing numbers, colors, shapes (and what makes the shape unique) and patterns. This has been a really fun way for us to do things together while also reinforcing what he is learning at school.
I hope you found some of these recommendations useful!
