Old School Blogging Is Now New School

Before I get started with today’s post, remember way back when I posted about how I used Diet-to-Go to get in shape for my wedding?  Well, I’m working with Diet-to-Go as an ambassador* and they have some really cool chances to win free meals from them coming up!  If you are looking to Shape Up for Summer, this is a great opportunity.  Right now they have a sweepstakes on Facebook where you could win a whole month of free meals!  Runner-ups can win 1 week worth of meals.  For more information and rules, click here. To enter, visit them on Facebook.

*As a Diet-to-Go Ambassador, I am compensated for promoting their sweepstakes.  As always, all opinions are my own.

Back to our regularly scheduled programming!  So a couple of the other bloggers I read have been posting this Old School Blogging post, which is essentially a survey of questions that you answer to allow your readers to get to know you.  I thought it would be cool if I participated as well, even though I’m relatively new to blogging so I don’t know if I can be old school.  But you know how with trends, everything that goes around comes around (I’m thinking bell bottoms, neon colors, skinny jeans, etc)?  Well, I guess this old school blogging is now new school blogging!  So here goes:

A. Attached or Single?  Attached to the hubs.  I feel like I need to dedicate a page to him.  What do you think?

oldschool

B. Best Friend? Mom. 🙂

Mom

C. Cake or Pie? Ohhh so difficult.  I’m going to go cake, especially if I can say cupcakes (this is new school remember).

D. Day of Choice?  Saturday!!!!  Obviously.

E. Essential Item? Chapstick.  My lips are perpetually chapped.  If I am in the car or on a bike ride and I don’t have it, game over.  My brand of choice is Aquaphor.

F. Favorite Color? Seriously?!?  You need to ask me this?  Pink.

G. Gummy Bears or Worms? Gummy bears FTW.

H. Home Town? Medfield, MA- Shout out to you all!

I. Favorite Indulgence? Candy- Starburst lollies, Swedish fish, chocolate

J. January or July?  Depends.  July if I’m stateside.  January if I’m in Australia.

K. Kids?  Nope.

L. Life Isn’t Complete Without?  The beach.

Florida Keys 4

M. Marriage Date?  April 9, 2012

N. Number of Brothers/Sisters?  1 brother, Andrew

O. Oranges or Apples? Apples.  Apple pie, apple sauce, apple butter, spiced apple, apple muffin, etc.

P. Phobias? Snakes. Gross.

Q. Quotes? “Dance like nobody’s watching.  Love like you’ve never been hurt.  Sing like nobody’s listening.  Live like it’s heaven on Earth.”

R. Reasons to Smile? It’s a sunshiney day and I have a good life!

S. Season of Choice? Summer, obviously.

T. Tag 5 People.  I don’t get this one, but I’ll tag the two blogs where I first read this Old School Blogging: Christine & Alison.  Then I’ll tag my friend Anna’s blog because she is an excellent foodie friend.  I’ve really gotten into Holly’s blog so check her out. Finally, I’ll tag my Dad because he is the only family member I haven’t mentioned yet in this post and it’s almost Father’s Day AND his Birthday!

Me and Dad

U. Unknown Fact About Me.  I grew up outside of Boston.  I started dancing at the age of 5.  I started teaching group fitness classes when I was in high school.  I went to college in Richmond, Va.  I was in a dance company and continued to teach group fitness classes.  I studied abroad in Sydney, Australia.  I then lived in Sydney, Australia where I got a Master’s Degree in Public Policy.  I continued to teach group fitness classes.  I moved to NYC where I got a law degree.  I started a fitness blog.  I still love to dance.

V. Vegetable? Tomatoes and Avocados.  Both technically fruits, I think.

W. Worst Habit? Not flossing every night. Gasp!

X. Xray or Ultrasound? Can I pick neither???

Y.  Your Favorite Food? Pasta, pasta, pasta!

Z. Zodiac Sign? Aquarius.

Readers, what are some of your answers?  Leave them in the comments below or do your own post!

So glad that you did this. So fun learning more about you. You look gorgeous in your wedding photos. I’m jealous that you lived in Sydney. I’ve only visited once but I think that it’s one of my favorite cities. I really loved Australia and would love to spend more time there.

Thank you so much! I loved reading this on your blog so I decided I would try my hand. Sydney is amazing! We are going back for a visit in December and I’m so looking forward to it.

Part of the reason I work out so much is so I can indulge in yummy food! I was going to tell you that my husband is Australian as well! 🙂

I like that you say it’s “new school”! 🙂

And may I just say that your wedding gown is one of the most beautiful ones I have ever seen! Wow!

I figure I can’t claim anything is old school since I’m so new to blogging! I had a great time with this post!

Thank you so much for your nice comments about my wedding dress. I fell in love with it and now I look at it in my closet and want to wear it again! 🙂
