Hello friends! It’s not secret over here that I am a huge fan of the warmer months. Yesterday I sang the praises of spring but seriously, I would totally be ok with it being 70 degrees plus all year round. Wouldn’t bother me a bit! Needless to say, when summer finally hits, I want to make the most of it . One of my favorite magazines, Coastal Living (because, you know, I live on the coast . . .), has a feature every year called The 99 Days of Summer and goes through 99 ways to make the most of your summer from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Well, last year I made my own 99 Days of Summer list and loved it so much, that I decided to do it again this year. What better way to celebrate the best time of the year!?

May 20, 2014this is so great — thx for sharing. i plan to do a lot of these this summer and have a new friend from Newport, RI, so maybe i’ll finally check that off too. 🙂 my fave time of the year is def Summer for the activities, but weather-wise i like end of Summer/beginning of Fall…those Indian Summer days are golden.
FitBritt
May 21, 2014Ahhh Indian Summer is pretty amazing! It’s like we are holding on to those last nice days!

Lauren @ Focused To Be Fit
May 20, 2014Whoa! What a great list! I’m totally a Summer girl and also, totally a PLANNER! It’s a gift and curse. I can’t wait to get to the lake, play in the sand, drink Bud Light Lime and listen to country music!
FitBritt
May 21, 2014Sounds like a great summer plan to me! 🙂
Cailee Joy @ http://www.hellohealthyeating.com

Kim
May 20, 2014Fun list!!
Summer is definitely my favorite and I’m already in on the stripes (striped sun dress today) and pedi!!!
My favorite thing is to be by the water – the lake has to do most of the time but the ocean is my preference. Not in the water – just laying out next to it!!!
FitBritt
May 21, 2014I love being by the water! And yes to a striped sun dress!!!
Nicole
May 20, 2014Great list! I love a lot of these things and will be doing them too! I always bring a water bottle everywhere haha and I love cherries, blueberries and bruschetta. I’m sure that there will be plenty of those in my life all summer long!
FitBritt
May 21, 2014Yes definitely!! I can’t wait!
Megan @ The Skinny-Life
May 20, 2014Summer is not my favorite. It’s just too hot in AZ! All the other seasons I love though because the weather is so glorious here especially Spring. Spring here is the best time of year. It’s more equivalent to your summer.
FitBritt
May 21, 2014I’ve heard it gets really really hot there! I am jealous the rest of the year though!
Paige@FitNotFad
May 20, 2014Oooooooh I absolutely love this and may steal it 🙂 Looks like you are out to have fun this summer! How’s the weather on the east coast now? Hopefully a little warmer! This summer I MUST be on a pontoon at some point!
FitBritt
May 21, 2014Go for it girl! I hope you have 99 days of perfect relaxation and bliss!
The weather here is wonderful now!
Carla
May 20, 2014I love this…so stealing it! And I can already scratch self-tan off the list! 🙂
FitBritt
May 21, 2014I loved reading your list! It gave me more ideas!
Melanie @ Happy Being Healthy
May 21, 2014I was just telling my kids this morning that I love 70 degree weather! I think 80+ starts to get too hot. We get plenty of 100+ degree weather here in the summer though. I LOVE summer though and your list got me so excited for it!!!
FitBritt
May 21, 2014Oh my gosh! It rarely gets that high here! I love warm weather though!
Runner Girl Eats
May 21, 2014Love this! I can’t wait to make my own summer list. My favorite summer activities are eating late dinners on the patio, living in shorts, and post run popsicles 🙂
FitBritt
May 21, 2014Ahhh I love sitting on the patio!
Allie
May 21, 2014What are “sunnies?” And you should totally do the Instagram thing! Right now I’m trying to decide what to do with my toes for Spain. I have a pedi scheduled on Friday and I’m thinning red, white and blue…but then, after the race, it won’t match most of my outfits!!! Oh the problems I have 🙂
FitBritt
May 21, 2014Sunnies are Australian slang for sunglasses. They have some funny lingo. Cossie= bathing suit. Kit= outfit. Boot= trunk of car.
I just got a pedi today and it is a shade of red. I’m loving how vibrant it is. Doesn’t red, white and blue go with everything? 😉
Lauren @ ihadabiglunch
May 21, 2014A lot of these are applicable in Chicago (or have Chicago equivalents) so I’m definitely stealing this if you don’t mind! What a fun way to get excited about summer! You really have a sunny attitude and I love it!
FitBritt
May 21, 2014Go for it! I hope you have an amazing summer! 🙂
Lisa @ Lulu's Big Adventure
May 21, 2014Use sidewalk chalk! Yes! It’s been so long since I’ve done that.
FitBritt
May 21, 2014I know me too! My cousins are quite young and I did it with them a few years ago and it was so fun!
Jaclyn @ BumpSweat
May 21, 2014I love this idea! It’s so easy to let the summer months fly by without really taking advantage of the warmer weather. I’m most-excited for our baby moon to the Adirondacks, which is coming up in just a few short weeks. Other than that, they’ll be lots of laying by and in the pool, since summer = 3rd trimester for me this year.
FitBritt
May 21, 2014Oh I’ve always wanted to visit the Adirondacks. I bet it will be so fun! Laying by the pool sounds good to me!
Sarah @ Making Thyme for Health
May 21, 2014Yes, I want to do all the things! I don’t know if I have a favorite season. It used to be summer when I lived in Florida but in California, I like spring and fall just as much. Either way, I’m excited for summer!!
Working Mommy
May 21, 2014I love the list! Kate Spade Keds – Check! Everything else – no checks. 🙁 I really need a time off!
catherine gacad
May 28, 2014such a fun list!
