I know, I know…goals, inspiration and resolutions were so last week! Hey, I may be a little late to the party, but in my view, it is never too late to articulate the things you want to get out of life or the next year or six months or whatever your time frame is. And if you did make some goals or resolutions last week, now is a good time to revisit them and think about an action plan for your goals. It’s great to say, I want to do xyz thing this year but if you need to have a plan to actually achieve it. So here we go!
One thing that has bothered me about myself for a long time is that I get some degree of social anxiety in public when I fear that I’m going to do something to embarrass myself or somehow do something awkward. This year, I’m resolving to care less about what other people think and focus more on doing/saying things to get what I want. Basically being more assertive and less timid on certain issues so I don’t have to stress about it!
I also really want to focus on healthy eating as much as possible and cut out extras that I really don’t need! Easier said than done!
Grow baby! I want to really work on growing this space into something not only that I love (because I do) but that you love. I want to really focus on the things that I love and that matter to me here and hopefully that will make more people want to be here too!
I want to grow my online presence for my classes too and get more people inspired to workout with me (give it a try! I promise you’ll like it!). And in doing this I want to make sure that my blog and social media are all on brand together.
Finally, I want to create a solid idea and business plan for opening up my own physical studio space someday.
I want to make a conscious effort to do something for Cooper every single day. Ok that is laughable because I do about 8,000 things for him a day but what I mean is something focused on him that involves playing or learning or having fun together. I can be guilty of just letting him play around while I do stuff around the house and before I know it the whole day has gone by. I also want to make sure that I continue to make time for the Hubs. We do Friday night date nights and I want to keep that going this year!
Readers, did you set goals or intentions this year? Do you create a plan for achieving your goals? How do you inspire yourself to reach your goals? I like Pinterest boards!
These are perfect goals1 I’m trying to do something new or different with charlotte everyday, which is hard. Some days when i’m feeling tired and want to get things done around the easy, I just leave her to play in her jumper and play her songs….which is fine but I want to make sure I’m still engaging her each day! 🙂
I admire your goals, Brittany. If you stick with them this year and next, too, you will achieve your goals. The goal you will remember forever and be most proud, is being with Cooper in fun, exciting and developing ways!
It’s absolutely never too late to do this and I would say you are right on time. I love your personal goal of getting over social anxiety. I think we all have that to some degree but being aware of it and walking into a situation with confidence is a great approach. I also love that you’re working on the blog/business model as it’s an ongoing labor of love, isn’t it? Good luck mama! I’m here to support you 🙂
