Hi all! I totally was still half asleep this morning and thought it was the weekend and then realized it was Monday. Whomp whomp. But actually, I’m going to turn that frown upside down and get excited for Monday!! It’s full of possibilities this week–fun times with the little guy, great workouts, good food. It’s going to be a good week!
Back when I lived in NYC, I was obsessed with trying out the latest boutique fitness studio. There were so many to choose from that I was always trying out a new workout and hardly ever had to do the same workout twice. Well, now that I’m no longer based out of NYC, I definitely miss my studio classes. Yes there are pilates studios and spin studios near me and, of course, big gyms, but they just don’t compare to my old classes. Luckily, I’ve found a way to continue doing these classes at home!
When I’m not teaching my own barre and pilates classes, I’m getting fit at home boutique-style with Booya Fitness! It’s actually a really genius idea and I love it. Booya takes the best fitness studios from around the country and puts there classes in one place so you can workout with the best instructors online in the comfort of your own home. So if you like doing HIIT one day, yoga the next and kickboxing the day after–they’ve got you covered!
Plus, if you are like me and religiously wait until naptime or bedtime to start your workout, this is the perfect solution to your needs. Booya’s tagline is “Sweat in a moment’s notice” and that is truly all you need to start your workout. Most of the workouts are 30 minutes, providing you the perfect amount of time when you are at home and need a quick but effective workout. There are some that are a bit shorter and then there are some mashups that offer two workouts together for a full 60 minute workout (I love this and sometimes pair my own workouts together even if there are no mashups!).
One of the best parts about Booya for me is the variety. I love love love pilates and barre but, they are not the only workouts I do (shocker, I know!) and it is nice to have a ton of different options from Bollywood to Bhangara to trampoline cardio and much more, Booya is all about variety.
Some of you may have also noticed in my sidebar to the right, my two workout plans:
I teamed up with Booya to custom curate these workout plans using their workouts and my knowledge and tips! You get tons of motivation, recipes and more from me in these workout plans. And look, I won’t be offended if a Dancer’s Body or Post-Baby Bounce Back aren’t your thing, there are plenty of other workout plans on Booya.
You can get your first 30 days free on Booya and after that pricing is only $9.99 per month, although you get a discount or signing up for a few months at once!
Readers, how do you get in a workout when you don’t have a lot of time? Are you a follow-a-plan fitness type or do-your-own-thing? Do you like variety or most of the same types of workouts?

March 14, 2016I love how there are so many ways to workout at home now…except that the sweating I do at home is on a bike or treadmill. Although I wouldn’t use these, I love the idea of it and that it exists for a time when I’m not training for something specifically…whenever that is!!
I hope you have a great week, despite the fact that it’s Monday…and we lost an hour…or maybe you don’t do that in Brazil?? I hope not!

March 16, 2016Looks like there are alot of variety in the videos to chose from. I usually do the same workouts but it would be nice to switch it up now and then.

March 16, 2016I really enjoyed 8 Weeks to a Dancer’s Body. The different workout routines were do-able yet challenging especially when put two together when more time allowed for me to do that! I will have to get back into my Booya classes soon! I do like a prescribed format and I like to try different types of exercise!
