These Seven Smoothie Bowl Recipes are the perfect way to wake up in the morning. Dense full of nutrients but also tasty, you’ll feel like you are having dessert for breakfast!
Hello hello! Sorry for the lack of posting on Friday, on Thursday I ended up with a bout of stomach flu and didn’t have it in me for a Friday post. Not to be a Debbie Downer but this is the fourth time in a year I’ve come down with it and I’m getting a little more than frustrated! Any tips here?
Ok, on to better topics! Food. How was that for a transition?
If 2016 is anything, it is the year of the bowls. And one of my favorite types of bowls are smoothie bowls. I love a smoothie but something about having it in a bowl and eating it with a spoon is so much more satisfying. First of all, I don’t finish it in 30 seconds and it leaves me feeling a bit more full, probably because they are a bit denser.
Today I’ve rounded up Seven Smoothie Bowl Recipes for you to try! Plus, I’ve got a few smoothie bowl hacks for you.

Now for my hacks. . .
First, when you decide on the recipe you want to make for the week, buy all of the ingredients and then figure out what things need to be frozen. Spend a few minutes slicing and dicing each ingredient and placing them into separate Ziploc bags to freeze them so they’ll be ready throughout the week.
Second, make sure you have a few toppings on hand to really punch up your smoothie bowl. One of my favorite toppings is shredded coconut.
Third, have some ice ready on the fridge. Some of these recipes require ice and some don’t buy I find it is useful to have on hand because it is a great and easy way to thicken up a bowl that had gotten too soupy.
Readers, do you have a favorite smoothie bowl recipe? Any ideas for staving off the seemingly endless sicknesses I’ve been experiencing?
