Friday’s Food & Fitness: A Pilates Challenge

Hello and Happy Friday!  After all the fun for the past two weeks, I’m taking a weekend off.  Our plans are low key with nothing too crazy on the roster.  What do you have planned?

I need to rewind a bit to out vacation on Cape Cod because I never told you guys about our awesome dinner at The Ocean House in Dennis, Ma and it is definitely worth mentioning!  We headed out to Dennis just time time to grab a drink by the beach.  I was intrigued by their tequila coconut, strawberry cocktail and while it was a bit creamy for my taste, it was a lot of fun!  Plus the view wasn’t bad either!

We then headed inside to our table and proceeded to peruse their extensive menu.  We decided on apps of fried oysters done with an Indian-spice flavor and these amazing lobster buns–a shellfish take on an Asian classic.  It was so so so good!

I got this amazing tuna dish on top of black rice with a fruit chutney and lightly fried asparagus on top.  Pete got a soba noodle and halibut dish.  Everything tasted so great!

Don’t ask me what we ordered for dessert but our waitress actually said this was the smaller of the two we were considering!

After two weeks off I’m back to teaching this week and it has been tough!  Even though I’ve been working out, teaching brings it to a whole new level and I felt so out of shape this week after taking time off.  But, I loved getting back to it because I completely miss teaching when I’m not doing it!

But I haven’t been completely out of touch since I decided to join a pilates Instagram challenge hosted by Blogilates for the month of August.  If you follow me on Instagram, you would have seen my photos but I’ve been having fun getting photos in various cool locales!  Plus, her ab moves are on point!

    I am so captivated by your lovely meals–I hope you eat every bit and drink every sip!! I love all salads! I like many fitness challenges. Sometimes I do not follow all the rules when there are too many #s, tags, @s, and rules to follow! That’s just me!
