Friday’s Food & Fitness: A Beach Weekend

Hello and Happy Friday!  It seems like things have just hit fast forward recently and I can’t believe another week is done and gone!  This one was full of good stuff!

Welcome to Friday’s Food & Fitness!

The holidays can mean a lot of overindulgence for people, which means that you need to have a strategy when it comes to those endless parties, office functions and get togethers.  Here is a lit of the best holiday foods for you this season to help you avoid an expanding waistline!

This past weekend we headed to the beach about two hours from us and it was incredible!!  We stayed with some friends and it was probably one of the best weekends we have had in Brazil!  Their house is perched on a ledge overlooking the water and we had some gorgeous sunshine for arrival even though it was predicted to rain.

Our friends made us a great bbq while we relaxed in their pool on the deck.  They have kids the same age as Cooper so the three of them were playing all afternoon!

I was keen to just relax in a lounge chair but that lasted about 2 minutes!

The next day I woke up early to fit in a workout on our deck overlooking the water before we headed off for the day.  Our friends had a boat so we cruised in a style to a private island where the kids could play in the water and the sand.

It was such an amazing weekend with great weather, it was tough to get back to the grind this week but only a few more days until the holidays and a little R&R!

Even though you are a jet-setter, you take time to eat right and continue with your workout routine! I will try to follow your example!
