Every month I like to recap a few of my favorite things. I’m always looking for new books, new shows, new clothes, new things to capture the imagination. Hopefully this list helps you out!
This is the biggest hit for us. I am obsessed with this show and we are bingeing two seasons. It is super interesting in a Machiavellian/Shakespearean way! The acting is also great and the characters are all despicable.
I started watching this drama recently and while I can’t say it is the best thing I’ve ever watched, it does have me hooked. It is a little dippy but sometimes you need a little dippy (as opposed to housewives screaming at each other and flipping tables).
As a dancer, I am a huge Bob Fosse fan. The new show Fosse/Verdon explores Bob Fosse’s life and his relationship with his wife, actress and muse, Gwen Verdon. The plot is interesting but I mostly just love the singing and dancing of the famous pieces choreographed by Bob!
This twisty, curvy thiller-esque book, Sometimes I Lie, had me on the edge of my seat (or pillow) the entire time. I couldn’t put it down. So good and surprising until the end!
The Last House Guest was also a bit of a thriller with personal relationships involved. This was another one that kept me entertained and reading until the last page.
I’m a huge fan of Elin Hilderbrand. Her books are easy beach reads and most take place on Nantucket, a place I grew up visiting. This new series adds a bit more intrigue and mystery and takes place on St. John in the BVI. This definitely isn’t your scholarly pick but if you are looking for light reading, I highly recommend this series! This is book 2 but you can also get book 1, Winter in Paradise.
Dancing with a stranger. Ok not so much with a stranger but definitely with myself. I’m going back to my roots and have been doing a ton of dancing! I’m working on another dance cardio video for you all so stay tuned!
I’ve been loving adding succulents to my house plants. The only thing is that I’m having a terrible time keeping them going. Full disclosure, I’m HORRIBLE with any plants. Like really bad. But if you have any tips, please disclose them to me because I do love these succulents!
What are you loving this month?
