I get it. The news can be exhausting and depressing. Staying home for weeks on end is no fun. And each day kind of seems, well, like the last one. I’ve got some of my favorites I’m doing right now that might help perk up your normal routine! Let me know if you enjoy any of them!
Gilmore Girls. I never watched this show when it first came out but I’m obsessed! I started bingeing it when we first started with quarantine and I’m already on Season 5 out of 7. I’m going to be so sad when it is over though because I feel like these girls have become part of my life. I love the strong girl power message and the quirky characters. It is also interesting to see how political correctness has changed since this aired in the early 2000s.
I am all about the Chambray. It is my perfect solution for changing seasons (winter to spring and summer to fall) because it is lightweight without being too breezy. I have this chambray dress that I love from J.Crew. I also have this amazing chambray shirt that I actually got as a maternity shirt but I still wear it because I love it!
Draper James has been hardcore marketing its chambray for spring and I’m falling for it hook line and sinker.
Another thing I’m wearing is rose gold workout clothes. I love rose gold. Honestly what did I do with myself before it was popular? Rely on gold and silver? Pffff. My favorite pieces are from Beyond Yoga.
The Majesties. I wasn’t sure about this book when I first started but now I’m hooked. It is part Crazy Rich Asians and part psychological thriller. It follows the path of two sisters leading to one lying in a coma put there by her sister who poisoned her entire family. I promise you won’t be able to put it down.
Daisy Jones and The Six. This is my newest Audible adventure and I’m loving it. Aside from the fact that I can’t keep all the characters straight and I need an IMBD so I can figure out who is doing the voice of who, the book is super interesting. I totally thought it was about a real 70s rock band- spoiler- it isn’t! It is compelling none the less and I find myself listening more often than my first Audible selection.
Side note- I chose The Scent Keeper for my February credit as it was the Reese Witherspoon x Hello Sunshine book pic and I haaaaated it! I hardly got anywhere in the book before I gave up. Others seem to love the book so maybe it is just me or the Audible experience but I gave up quick smart.
Homeschooling. I’m loving The Preschool Box to help me teach Coops the concepts he should be learning for kindergarten. The monthly box comes with all the materials you need for about 5 or so weekly activities (so 20 total for the month give or take).
It’s been such a a amazing tool! I’ve taught him patterns, “sh”, “ch” and “th” sounds, the days of the week and the months of the year plus so much more. The activities are really great and not too time consuming. The boxes usually come with little gifts as well. We have gotten several great books that Cooper loves.
That’s a wrap for this month!
Hope you found something to watch, listen, read or do!
