2020 what a year. It has made seeing family super difficult and not to mention the holidays. As many of us are choosing to stay home this holiday season and not see family and friends, I’ve come up with a little list to help you feel more together this holiday season.
Send written holiday notes. It doesn’t have to be a fancy card but just spend some time actually penning out real mail to your loved ones.
Get on that Zoom. Make sure to set aside some time to Zoom your favorite people. It doesn’t have to be a group thing. Even some one-on-one time is quality time.
Pick up the phone! I get it. No one wants to put on makeup let alone real clothes for a Zoom meeting. Just pick up the phone and give someone a call.
Connect with old friends. Aim to reach out via email, Facebook, text whatever to two friends you haven’t spoken to in awhile and catch up with them on what is going on.
Donate. Donate to charities who have been hit hard this year. We may not be able to give our time as much due to restrictions and many places are no longer taking donations but you can still donate to museums, the arts and other charities. You can also participate in Amazon Smile!
Make the holidays special for those around you. Make the holidays extra special for those you live with this year. It doesn’t have to be big gestures but little acts of kindness and more time together will help make the holidays feel special.
Things make look different this year but we can no doubt make the holidays still just as special with a little effort and a lot of optimism!
